Wanton chants swirl with the stomping rhythm as depraved screams whirl around the vocals. It's abrasive, but catchy in its own right; a bubbling cauldron thick with punk, noise rock, and grunge spite. Tape out 5/16.

Toronto "witch punk" trio The Bats Pajamas are set to release their new album, No Hello, on cassette and digi formats May 26th via Fleeting Youth Records. "Wrong House": https://soundcloud.com/fleetingyouthrecords/the-bats-pajamas-wrong-house “Wrong House” is a scuzzy affair, built with tinny shreds of guitar and muffled vocals that change from troubled howls to blood-curdling screams in a matter of seconds. The song highlights their grungy, dark, and disheveled punk rock they dub "Witch Punk." No Hello was recorded to tape in a few days with a DIY living room setup.

After fronting various black metal bands, Maltais decided to lock himself up in a bedroom and create music inspired by his love of DIY punk, California surf punk, horror, sci-fi flicks, comics, video games, and skateboarding. The end result is a colorful blend of throaty pop vocals, gritty instrumentation, and California punk aesthetics old and new. The first song off his forthcoming debut full-length is the charged-up Brain Avenue where Maltais reflects on the desire to get into someone's head to see what they're thinking, but finds it one helluva bad place to dwell.
