I am new to collecting. My parents saw me starting to collect and surprised me with a portable Crosley. After spending, oh about, 2 seconds on this forum I asked if they kept the receipt. Now I'm wondering. Looking around. I've got my eye on a Pro-Ject Debut III. Also working on building my room mancave. Buuuut, my main question is

 

Does anyone/Is it a good idea to, run a good record player out of a home theater/surround sound system? Or would I need designated speakers/amp strictly for enjoying my records? I'd like to be able to game/netflix/enjoy my records from the same speakers, but if it's not a good idea I'm hoping somebody here has the answer 

 

Also, on a separate note. opinions on Pro-Ject Debut III?

Looks like I'll be gunning for the blue/white variant. Good thing I kind of planned for it to end up that way.

I'll probably try to get my HT to hold a copy for me they day they go on the shelves, since I wouldn't be able to get there until like 6pm and don't want to risk missing out on this entirely.

They did release conversation piece on doghouse, but i'm pretty sure equal vision has the rights now because I recently bought that cd at one of their shows and it was a repress done by equal vision, not the original version from doghouse.

I've got a sealed self-titled aaaaand I'm kinda interested in the Something Corporate, but not sold on the trade exactly. I do value the blink record a good amount more

The Hot Topic ones are clear and yellow, according to Travis. The merchnow ones are mystery but we will know this week. The guy has the balls to list them at $60 a piece.

Except for the writing on the Happiness sleeve I mean, but the "cherry" red color vinyl was so good. As in, "your cherry lips linger on mine" you know

I was a bit iffy on both DBM/DBM2 colors. Self-titled is okay. The rest were fine. I felt Happiness and AS were flawless.

For the most part we are in the dark as far as the merchandising goes. I assume the individuals will be under $22 since Rise is really good about pricing. I'm just hoping for some gatefold action this time around and different variants.

Will just have to see this week then. Gatefold would be amazing. Get "Pussy Vultures" on the Acceptance Speech repress

I get why people are frustrated because they bought something thinking it's rare as fuck and it ends up just being a first press but that is the name of the game these days. I've even had that mentality with shit I would NEVER sell.

I think most labels will continue repressing albums as long as they'll sell and I think it was obvious the discography would get that treatment.

Do you happen to have additional info on the repress variants? Like price to expect. I would personally love Happiness and Self-titled with the original cover art
