  1. I got a silver Tool Part. Had no idea there were black ones.

I got black. I was confused when I saw the silver ones.

So apparently there are both black and silver copies of the Tool Part cassette. I don't know what color I have because I haven't gotten it yet, but someone with the other color start regretting their purchase and sell it to me.

100 black and 100 silver apparently

  2. Thank you for your advice. I am aware that putting a penny on the headshell is bad for the records as I said in my post, and also that this didn't make any difference anyway so I'm haven't actually been doing this. I only tried it once that's all. That's why what I was actually asking was if anyone knows of any other way to adjust it to stop it looping.

The main topic of the post anyhow was I was wondering how to adjust the fine tune speed controls, there is clearly meant to be a way to do this, I just can't figure out how! I am aware that it is not a quality player, and that there likely is no way to adjust the arm to stop it looping, was just throwing it out there.

It's possible that they just added that so it would look nice, despite having no function. Some cheap turntables even have a fake counterweight just to look good.

  3. When I visited Florida I was really baffled at how much country there were and how bad it was. I heard "Drink A Beer" by Luke Bryan and looked it up and apparently he made that song when his brother died. I mean come on listen to these lyrics:

When I got the news today
I didn't know what to say.
So I just hung up the phone.

I took a walk to clear my head,
This is where the walking led
    Can't believe you're really gone

    Don't feel like going home
So I'm gonna sit right here
On the edge of this pier
    Watch the sunset disappear
    And drink a beer

One; those are the worst rhymes I've ever heard, and two; his first reaction when his brother died was to walk to the pier and drink a beer. Can you BE any more American?

And then they played another terrible song: Eli Young - Drunk Last Night. I swear I heard those two songs more than 30 times each, and it actually felt refreshing to get home and only hear shitty radio-house again.

  4. I love rainy day records;

The Album Leaf - In A Safe Place
American Football - American Football (some might say it's not rainy day but I think so)
    The Antlers - Hospice
The Antlers - In The Attic Of The Universe
    The Antlers - Palace
Empire! Empire! (I Was A Lonely Estate) - On Time Spent Waiting
    Keaton Henson - Birthdays
    Keaton Henson - Dear
    Portishead - Dummy
Red House Painters - Down Colorful Hill

    Those are my favorites :-)
