Yeah I've looked through every website on the internet (it seems like) and this set can not be had for less than $150. None of the stores in my state have it in stock either, so it looks like I won't be owning it. :/

It's been like that for like a month. Now that the box is OOP, I doubt they'll be getting any in. 

Man, Popmarket has had a big fall from grace, haven't they? They used to consistently have 20% off codes and the prices on their site were actually significantly better than other retailers. 

I've never heard the Velvet Underground albums in mono before, so it's going to be an interesting listen for sure. 

Did you have a tracking code for the Eminem box and then they cancelled the shipment? Or did you not receive a tracking code at all for it? I've received a tracking code for each thing I ordered and received the first two or three items yesterday. 

 

It was just cancelled, no tracking number or anything.

 

I'm ridiculously excited about the Last Waltz coming. Seems like it was shipped by the pony express. I see it inching across the country.

 

Indeed. It's one of my favorite albums and $15 is a great price. 

 

Are these recent cancelations people are getting coming from the second round of gohastings.com box set sales and not the initial ebay orders?

 

Has anybody Gotten any shipping notices from that second run of gohastings.com sales that occured Friday?

 

Yeah, all my eBay orders went through. I just checked the status on gohastings.com and The Last Waltz made it through, but the Eminem set did not. 

Eminem box was cancelled, but my copy of The Last Waltz shipped, so I'm happy about that. 

So I wonder what really happened. There's no way this wasn't a mistake, right? I think it's definitely an error since the Nirvana and Selena Gomez pre orders were so cheap. But then again, I don't think they were moving any copies of those box sets, so I suppose it's not entirely out of the question. My main guess is that those box sets were supposed to go on clearance, but they ended up somehow reducing the price a little too much. 

Apparently early pressings of the Velvet Underground box set had some packaging quality issues, so hopefully these are copies from a later run. You'll know if it's a later copy if the albums are individually wrapped and if there is a foam insert.

Well, my order with the Velvet Underground box, Marvin Gaye box, and Beatles BBC Vol 1. is now in transit via UPS, so at the very least I'll be getting those. Still just have the tracking numbers (no movement) on my Grateful Dead and Springsteen boxes. 

 

Anybody who ordered from GoHastings direct earlier today hear anything yet? Waiting to see if my Eminem box gets cancelled.

I don't know, guys. I feel like before we found out that the prices were back in effect at their website, those who ordered on eBay and got shipping notices might have had a chance. 

 

With this, I think it's clear that their system is messed up big time and all orders will probably be cancelled. 

Their site's fucked up. I really doubt they have any more Springsteen or Eminem boxes to spare after the eBay thing yesterday.

Because as far as I can tell, none of my orders have actually shipped, just the labels were created (and maybe packaged). 

Everything I ordered has gotten a shipment notification. Holy shit. 

 

Hope they pack things okay... one of my shipments has two box sets and two regular albums.

I'm as shocked as you are. It usually takes at least a week to get anything from their website. I'm in Tx so most of them are close by but still...as you said, insane.

What, if any, of the box sets did you order?

Just checked UPS MyChoice and I have a package from GoHastings coming next Tuesday that weighs 8.2 pounds... Cautiously optimistic.

Are Hastings/BM/Zia related in any way? I noticed their websites all look pretty similar.
