A six part interview ^^^, not even an hour long. Killer Mike and Bernie.
This is the best conversation I've seen so far. Show the people the truth.

good on you ghost.
I always hear of my friends hanging out w their kids, taking them to their sports leagues, special functions, etc. I never hear of them taking them to a concert, listening to music w them, etc.
I think giving music to the youth is the way to go, no matter how old

Not sure where else to post this so I'll throw it here. How do you update the title of a post you created?
edit the first post that you created of said thread

Am I the only one having a very difficult time getting into the holiday spirit? With all the twists and turns that life has thrown at me as of the past 4-5 years, mostly with family issues (medical, drugs, hypocrisy, etc.), I can't even muster up the internal strength to at least pretend to joyful and paint a smile on my face even for others.
It honestly breaks my heart and pains me to no end that I can't feel a semblance of joy during the holidays when it's even more important to be thankful and with family and friends.
No, but I choose to look past it. I give my time to any and everyone during the other 363 days of the year. The two I ask for, to be by myself, are Thanksgiving and Dec. 25th. I'm not very good with family. Makes me uneasy. Most of mine aren't people I would associate with outside of, so I've never attempted, even with age.

next week is fine. everyone has lives to attend.

Radiohead and Gorillaz. I haven't been paying much attention to future releases. Still catching up on this year.
edit: Bowie. Forgot about that.

and, guess who has a live channel up right now.........

I was hoping someone would buy it and "leak" it on Pirate Bay or something, just so everyone could hear it...but there's no way this guy would.
Part of the agreement was a condition to not sell it, or even give it away, for 88 yrs. Might be 80 yrs?
Either way, when I read his quote about having lunch w RZA, and how they had nothing in common, I thought
"I bet that "lunch" was Shaolin giving him a warning about taking a "C.R.E.A.M." position w their album"
I'm slightly surprised a fellow producer/performer didn't snatch this up, considering the winning bid
I want to hear that Wu Tang record. Think he'd invite me over?
Would you give a mouse a cookie?

Lcd are headlining 3 us fests this year...pretty sure you can figure out which ones
I've been observing the chatter, yes.
Problem there is logistics.

I've seen Robert Plant a few times now. Enjoyed it both times. Solid shows. One was his material. One was throwback.
Roger Waters at Deer Creek was amazing.
I would have loved to have seen RATM.
Acts I need to cross off the list - Daft Punk, Radiohead, LCD (I wish), QOTSA, TVotR

I believe next season, the town of Jarden needs to ban fracking.

In other news, I just found this on Reddit. Ringo Starr's UK 1st Mono Press (No. 0000001) of the White Album just sold at auction.
$790,000
Reddit.
I read elsewhere that Jim Irsay, the owner of the Indy Colts, just bought one of Ringo's drum kits for just under 2 mil (I think). I wouldn't be surprised if he nabbed this.
Wozniak? J. White? Scorcese?

dfa records - 35% off with code WONDERLAND (doesn't have to be all caps)

Everyone's got me feeling old here. The first 5 that were given to me as gifts...
Vanilla Ice- To the Extreme
Kris Kross- Totally Krossed Out
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles- Coming out of Our Shells
Vanilla Ice- Extremely Live
Snow- 12 Inches of Snow
I was waiting for this. Thanks.
I still have my KK and Snow cassettes.
I believe these are mine. Looking back to the late 80's/early 90's can be difficult.

All of these (save for the first) are vinyl because I'm growing up in an age when I never needed CDs
5. Marty Robbins - Gunfighter Ballads and Trail Songs
this is the best post you've ever had.
+1 on Mr. Robbins

William Onyeabor - Atomic Bomb
It's the only release I wanted. I'm happy.
Also, they copied the original labels, only changing a few details

There's a question that I like to bring up to people, it being- if you had to go without either music or movies for the rest of your life, which would you choose?
Movies.
If I only had the music I made, it would be a monotone mood of a place
I find it easier to make do w the scenes/scenery at hand. Make your own, if you will

If you dig Four Tet, go pick up Pink. Standard release came out in the last few weeks. Quality press, imo. Really happy to have this finally on wax.
