Well, the Limited Edition Record Store Day release of R.E.M. Unplugged 1991/2001, The Complete Sessions, was quite a hit for those who were able to get one. So as a result, we are working on details for two separate vinyl releases: MTV Unplugged 1991 and MTV Unplugged 2001. Each vinyl release will feature the entire performance, including the additional songs not aired on the original broadcast. Further details to be a announced as soon as we have them.

The digital download is in wave, naturally!  Just downloaded it.

From the way i read it, the '1000' he's speaking of is part of the original 3000. I dont think they sold 3000 on rsd, so i believe this is some they held back, and some just for DFA and a select few distributors/stores. Sorry.

Mine was fine. By the way, some of the songs on Motorcade are supposed to sound "fuzzy", jussayin'

Did anyone not have problems with this? None of my records are warped, the Box is fine. Is it the ones after RSD? Were they sitting in some hot warehouse or something? Crazy. Glad people are making it right though!

Kris from DFA said yesterday that he thought there was around a thousand on what you can get from them, some other stores, before the 20th. Glad i made the right decision price wise to pick it up on RSD.

DFA does and has put out albums on colored vinyl and James is the CEO (albeit "hands off" for quite a while now), so I wouldn't 100% rule it out....  Just gonna depend on what they decided to agree to with RSD.

I am aware DFA puts out colored vinyl.  I was referring more towards LCD vinyl.  Every one I've seen is black.  So, I agree with you, but I will still 90% rule it out, lol.  

I don't know though, my local store said they can order a cheaper copy as well (For $130 as apposed to $230 on RSD)

I paid 110 on Saturday.  Also, it appeared as a presale for a very short amount of time (don't even think it was a day) on SoundStage 3-4 weeks before RSD.  Someone happened to be trolling it at the time it flashed.  Said it was 69.99.  

 

I don't see this being a colored vinyl thing, unless maybe white.  James is into black.  I see this being out of the original 3000.  I know stores had a bunch, but mine only had a couple each

one of the sleeves is a pic of James singing on stage, but as you would have seen it if you were watching the pitchfork stream, or TV.  Like the REM release. 

...I kind of think it might just get a digital release May 20th

on the DL card included, James left a message saying it would never be released on CD.  It didn't say anything about vinyl on wide release, but from the info floating around, I would think it would include vinyl.  Vinyl/Digital release is my guess in May

My local store might still have a Man Man and a David Lynch...

The sides alternate.  Therefore, it is intended to be played on 2 TT's, continuously.  example: Side A is with C, so on.....

It.is.Excellent.  Can't download the digital til the May release, which makes me even happier that I get to hear it this way before the 'rush' in May
