yeah I found a site that calculates import fees, something like £12 for two records imported from the USA but I think the Royal Mail takes an £8 fee just to cover themselves so that's another £20!

that's not bad but isn't the JEW store based in the states, so there's still import fees? wasn't aware that Juno had them up though.

hey UK/euro people - you can preorder from banquet and they have a bundle. crap exchange rate they are using ($1 = £1) but still works out cheaper than importing, at least in UK. http://www.banquetrecords.com/jewtrio

ouch! I'm pretty close to just ordering from src - aren't they based in Canada though? take it the $ is USD and not Canadian? different exchange rate and all...

anyone heard yet where/when uk will be available? would rather dodge the $30 shipping cost

Not technically a purchase but I got my granddad's old/vintage Yamaha YP511 player and matching receiver (CR-620) - both older than I am having been bought in 1978! Both huge things but I've wanted them since I was a kid. Must hardly have been used in that 30-odd year stretch as both still in beautiful condition. Oddly enough the complete opposite from the style I would go for if buying myself (that would be a Rega RP1 I think, to start with anyway.)
