  1. screw it, i'm gonna do some more! this is the only promotion i do... and he still never plays live... just want people who might enjoy it to have it and spread the word. i find it's the best way to get the word out anyway.

i set aside 15 more to giveway, please read the updated original post if interested.

also, pleeeaaasse only ask for one if yr truly interested in the record and that type of music as it's def not for everyone... for the most part it's been really cool but i also noticed a few going up for sale on discogs after sending them. please don't take it just to sell it immediately. check it out first and make sure it's your kind of thing!

  2. *UPDATE 4/2/2016* Doing a 3rd giveway, i've set 15 aside, see below for details!

    DETAILS:

I put out the vinyl version of my buddy's record in 2014. There were 500 copies pressed and I am down to the last 120. Periodically I do some giveaways as he doesn't play live and we don't really do any promotion except having it sitting up there on Bandcamp/Soundcloud.

Wholewheat - Songs From My Parents Basement is a super lo-fi singer-songwriter type thing, if you like Daniel Johnston, early Beck, lofi 4-tracker type stuff... you might dig it.

Here's the Bandcamp page for the record: https://wholewheat.bandcamp.com/album/songs-from-my-parents-basement

I'm giving them away totally free (within the continental 48 only, sorry). Anyone in AK/HI/Overseas, contact me and i'm willing to work out a more than fair deal.

The only thing I ask is PLEASE, i'd really appreciate only taking a copy if you really like it. It's definitely not for everyone, so I just ask that you have some sort of real interest in it. Please don't just grab it to sell it!

If you'd like a copy, please just e-mail me through the Bandcamp page

    Thanks!

  3. I put out a record for a buddy last year and I sell it pretty cheap on Bandcamp - 8 bucks total with shipping.

If you're into lo-fi/acoustic stuff like Daniel Johnston, early Beck, Sebadoh, etc - raw 90's 4-tracker vibes - you might dig it.

Also, if 8 bucks is too much, I'll send one out if you buy the digital version for 3 bucks. Just email me thru Bandcamp and I can arrange that.

Since the late 90's Brian Austin aka Wholewheat was content to amass piles of 4-track cassettes and leave them floating in his disgusting mildew infested basement, never to be heard far outside his Jersey Shore home. Late last year, we went through some of these basement tapes and popped our favorites up in CYBERSPACE. After some decent reaction, 10 months later, we randomly decided to slap some of them on a 12" slab of wax. And that's it.

Wholewheat is currently maybe possibly setting up live shows around his Jersey Shore home to support the wax.

Who knows if they will actually happen.

For fans of Daniel Johnston, Sebadoh, early Beck, the 90's, 60's sunshine pop ETC ETC ETC

    WW BULLET POINTS:

-Wholewheat is from TR STREETZ, NJ

-All songs are inspired by mildew smell in his parents mold
    ass basement

-WW prefers #3 supersize extra cheese

-His songs recall a better time filled with people in mold ass basements dancing to records with spilled ashtray juice on them

    -He got that lofi bang
