  1. Paul Orwell is one of my absolute favorite musicians. Did a quick search over here and couldn't find any threads on him. He's been releasing vinyl for a few years now and does all the recording/production/artwork himself and the vinyl has come out on Heavy Soul Records over in England. This year, I'm working with Paul on doing some stateside releases, including this first 7", Speak Of The Devil. US exclusive B-Side is a freakbeat organ jam. Up on my site now, but regardless if you pick it up or not, check out the video for the song enclosed below. I've watched it at least twenty times and it's catchy as all get out...I think he'll blow up over in the US soon!

Fading West, maybe a deluxe with the extra tracks, is high on my wishlist.

The 'Hymns' EP would be a nice bonus to have on vinyl. Chin+New Way+LTB are must-owns, though.

BTW- picked up HH and VV this afternoon, finally completing my in-print SF catalog. My fav band! Stoked on this and stoked I didn't have to pay $$$ for an OG pressing.

  3. My friend Nick runs a record label called Fonoflo Records out of Colorado and he sent me a link to this album he just released by Salar Rajabnik who made this really cool and melodic rock record. The album is super good (I bought the splatter) and the packaging is top notch, too. Comes with a poster and vinyl was pressed at Gotta Groove in Cleveland.

  4. Welp, I finally got my VNYL box the other day that my friend got me for a gift. I got a Dams Of The West LP (prod Pat Carney), Violent Soho's Waco, and Jeff Rosenstock's WORRY. Kinda surprised since it seemed like most people were getting the same stuff, but of the three, I really like the Jeff Rosenstock album, and I hadn't heard of him before. That being said, I won't be keep going with VNYL, but for free it was cool!

The new single is pretty out there for Weezer

Erm, yeah. I don't really know what to think of it yet. Knowing me and my love for Weezer, I'll buy it. Kinda surprised after the Grammy nod for the White Album, honestly. Can't Stop Partying!
