  1. Warped Tour is the absolute worst. I am old and I realize as some bands are getting older they need to pay bills and take care of their children, so one does the best they can within their set of values (except Fall Out Boy or Ex members of Race Traitor) to get by and do what they love. I grew up going to shows in basements or fire halls and I saw some great bands (At the Drive In, Less Than Jake, Lifetime, Get Up Kids in a small record store, moments I will never forget). It is just hard for me to associate punk rock and the sense of community I grew up in with a thing like Warped Tour. I never thought going to see a punk band would parallell going to a Red Hot Chilli Peppers Concert. these kids today do not know what they are missing.
  2. The LP is out, I got mine today. I live just a little north of philly so I am sure that comes into play, but the vinyl is in my record player as we speak.
  3. The key to public speaking in knowing your information inside and out and having an extremely laid out game plan. Then knowing who you are talking to. Why are most college classes only 1 hour long, it is hard for most people over 18 to remain attentive for that long. The best college professors break up the monotomy of lectures by segmenting their classes with more time for interaction. I am only writing because I am a training coordinator for a pretty large company and have to conduct training with anywhere from 5 to 100 people ranging from 1 hour to 2 weeks. I meditate before eack session and carry out the session in my head. Hope this advice can help.
  4. $330 That was the final price of what it went for. I lost and two other people actually fighting for it. Whoever posted this, your friend must be very happy.

  6. In the end I do feel bad for buying a record from a random person for this much because the money should go the band. I wish the system was better, but we at least buy the records in the beginning to support the band and not just download everything. The guy who went to the Boston Game, I am jealous, I am not from that area but I have been to a few Boston games and I have never been to a game in any other city which is anywhere near as great as going to Fenway. A lot of $ but the memories will last forever.
  7. Quick question for bonus, who cares how much this guy (me) buys it for? I am new to this game, I have more money then I need to have, I want a record just because I want it (lack of patience also), I run a company where I work with dependent and delinquent kids so saying giving the money to a good cause doesn't apply (trust me I do my part to better society).I spend $500 dollars to get my wife a Coach purse so what if I spend $200 for a record. I read these boards and to many people comment on stupid shit when if the guy who is selling it becomes extremely happy and the person recieving it becomes happy, then who cares. No wait, I am running up the market value or there are other bidders running up on what I am willing to pay so there is a somewhat demand and now some other seller can make a good amount on it if they chose. Fair to those who want it, no, but with a supply of 500 that is what it is. Wait till you wee what I am willing to pay for those Smashing Pumpkins 3LP on ebay. For BenchWarmer: If I lose the bid, then I would be more then willing to give $200 plus priority mail shipping through paypal. Just pm me if you see I lose.
  8. I buy records for the love of the music, plain and simple, I do not say this to bag on anyone either, to each his own, but for me buying more then one record to flip it is just another way to take something away from the band who put their heart and soul into making the record. I personally refuse to download. If a band is willing to make this record for my pleasure and sell it to me for a great price where this person is most likely not going to make a ton off of it themself and then I go and make a profit off of them. It just does not sit well with me. I have a buddy who owns a record store and he does a great job of getting limited vinyl and he admits he can get twice as much on ebay by storing it and selling it a few months later, but it not about that. Enough about that.
  9. Right on with stoner rock or any record where you can sit back have a few and sing along to (southern rock or alt country)
  10. I want to get rid of some vinyl. I do not care how much I get for it, but I am extremely busy so I do not want to send out numerous boxes. Give me a price of what you think is reasonable and the whole lot is yours. The only way I will deny someone is if the shipping is not covered (sister works at ULINE so it will be packaged well). PM me if interested. I have not done this before so if trust is an issue I am sure something can be worked out (I am not looking to make loads of money, I want them gone from my house and if someone really wants them or can trade with a local dealer, I hope this helps you out). Here they are: (black vinyl unless noted and I will state if any are in not best condition, all are but one or two) American Steel: Jagged Thoughts John Vanderslice: Pixel Revolt (378/500 2nd Pressing) Mike Judge and Old Smoke: Sights MC5: Kick Out the Jams Token Entry: From Beneath the Streets (Red) Omar Rodriguez Lopez: Se Dice Bisonte, No Buffalo Omar Rodriguez Lopez: A Manual Dexterity: Sound Tack Volume 1 The North Sea: Exquisite Idols (Limited to 500 copies) Transistor Transistor: Erase All Names and Likeness (White) The Pixies: Surfer Rosa Pissed Jeans: Hope for Men (White) Murder City Devils: R.I.P 1996-2001 Angel City Outcats: Deadrose Junction (Orangish) Fucking Champs: VI Six Parts Seven: Casually Smashed to Pieces Shellac: Excellent Italian Greyhound Thin Lizzy: Take That Sinner Boy Home Cypress Hill: S/T All Out War: Truth in the Age of Lies (Cover has some damage) (Red & Black Swirls) BrassKnuckle Boys: American Bastard (Brown/Black Swirl) Far From Finished: Living in the Fallout (Yellow) The New Pornographers: Twin Cinema Rilo Kiley: More Adventurous The Geeks: Everytime We Fall (Green) Thanks for your time,
