  2. The first record I ever bought was at a Brand New concert in a tiny club right after they first released Your Favorite Weapon. There was no more than 20-30 people in attendance it was crazy anyways I bought The Rookie Lot/Yearly 7" Split Vinyl Jesse Lacey's first band and alot of other musicians that went on to be in Saves The Day, The Movielife and The Stryder for $4 at the Brand New Merch table I can't believe I owned it for like 9 years and ended up having to sell it last year, it was definitely a sweet record to own. Ahh memories.

Holy fuck, that was difficult to read.
  3. eBay actually. There was a black copy for $15 I decided to go ahead and purchase. I was under the impression that they were only available in three different colors, not black.

I wouldn't be upset about it. I've never seen one available firsthand, and it's on my list. Then again, I haven't ever looked for it on eBay or here.

  4. No offense, but I like the pro-flipping RSD statements because I read them as, "I'm going to stand outside for 16+ hours in hopes of making a couple hundred dollars (essentially minimum wage). Won't cost me a thing, suckers!"

This. I usually only wait about an hour or two, and this year will be no different. It's gonna be fuckin' hard to keep myself from flipping an RSD copy if I get it, though.

  5. As I Lay Dying - "The Powerless Rise" back in 2011. It was the super limited deluxe fan box set and it had a "picture disc". I honestly didn't know it had music and was playable. I think I was majorly into AILD and got a hold of "An Ocean Between Us" next... kinda just went from there. I hit the ground running in 2013 and got a majority of what I have now... and didn't get a player until 2014. True story.

I'd love to have anything from AOBU and older. That was the last record from them that I have any care to.
  6. The mailers we're using are completely different, ours have extra protection to prevent banged up corners and seam splits, theirs, I believe are just silkscreened, but I could be wrong.

Either way, we package our records very well and that's what you're paying for, shipping and handling, which is obviously also done by an employee or intern that is being paid.

That sounds fuckin' awesome. I'm totally cool with paying an extra couple bucks for that kinda treatment. Being in the Midwest, my shit always has to travel a distance.
  7. I finally read into Enjoy the Toons Records and finally understand what you guys have been going on about in the other thread. What a goddamn joke. Anyway, someone let me know if they see clearance copies of The Tiger and the Duke in their stores. Thanks!

My store does, but it's the same price online. Same with Lover, The Lord Has Left Us. Same price online.
