  1. SRC had a bunch of the Skeleton Dance 10"....it came out. What stores get seems to be a crapshoot....when I asked about the NOFX 7" they said they didn't get any and thought it wasn't ready. I went to the next store and they got a few - there were still 2 about an hour after opening.

It all adds to the hype/confusion of the day.

  2. Went to SRC in Niagara Falls...I was about 20th in line getting there a half hour before opening - they let us in 15 minutes early...

Went to Mindbomb Records in St Catharines after the rush and picked up 2 things I didn't find at the first stop.

Home before 9:00 AM, by far my least hectic RSD now there are decent shops closer to home.

  3. To start, I'm for changing the rule for next year.

But to be fair....even if the one game is a shutout - that's only 2 guaranteed points - if you play 2/3 goalies for the week - there's a potential of 6+ games, you'll definitely win more than once and may even get a shutout to tie or add.

Last year, one of the points was "saves", so before that was gone, it wasn't really advantageous to play one game as your goalie. When we took that out, it opened this door where a good game could get you at least 50% of your possible goalie points.

So you can't really call someone out for playing within the rules that we set up.

  4. Yeah, outsiders get brought to the centre by the separation of the two branches. Unfortunately, the two year turnover in the house and senate makes the president more of a figurehead than the weight of the job deserves.

Sure, but you have to be inspired to vote by the person. True, parents/teachers/media figures have a bigger part in shaping ideology, but they are not "inspiring" people to get out and vote the same way an engaging politician does.

  5. Getting people in engaged should be the number one job of anyone running for president. Most people have their ideology figured out by the time they are 30....they will continue to vote for another 40+ years. All politicians need to be courting young voters to make them lifetime _________. It's like cigarettes...they need to get them young.

That being said, I would think a minority of voters (young or old) know how the political system fully functions...maybe that's why they are so excited...no one has ever promoted (recently) the ideas that Sanders is talking about...it hasn't been an option for them in the past, now they are excited it's a possibility.
