  1. My traditional first store closed this year so I went in to Hamilton. The first store I stopped at had about 40 people in line and all the records are behind the counter...they number you off and you line up in that order. I bailed on that line and ended up 12th in line at a bigger store. Passed on the White Stripes, but picked up Replacements, Stiff Little Fingers/Grandmaster Flash, Star Wars Rebels pic disc (for my son), Bowie changes, Off Live....

Still looking for Dave Hause, and the Hold Steady releases.

  2. I don't know if my round could be called an upset.... we were a point away from each other in the final standings, and tied in the playoff week....our previous weeks were 9-6 him, 7-6 me....crazy close.... an old fashioned rivalry. The littlest thing could have swung it the other way....

I had Shattenkirk and Seguin on the shelf and that killed a lot of momentum I had. Ah well, there's always next year.

  3. The Weekend Update celebrity impressions were all a bit uncomfortable. If you just took it at face value and to have a laugh, they were celebrating the people, which is good.

I was surprised there wasn't a musical guest montage. Those are usually on this kind of thing.

  4. Brutal move.

Take a stand over something important, not a fellow multi-millionaire getting allegedly-snubbed over a subjective award.

My kid learned in school last week, blowing out someone else's candle doesn't make your's burn any brighter. Kanye must have missed that day.

  5. WWF @ Hamilton, Ontario - Copps Coliseum - December 4, 1988 (13,500)
Featured Gorilla Monsoon & Sean Mooney on commentary:
Prime Time Wrestling - 12/19/88: Tim Horner pinned Johnny K-9 at 15:54 with a powerslam
Hulk Hogan defeated the Big Bossman (w/ Slick) via disqualification at 16:01 when Slick interfered with the nightstick after Hogan had Hogan pinned following the legdrop; Slick was then able to escape the ring before Hogan could do any damage to him; this bout took place now and lasted so long in order to allow the other talent to arrive from Montreal in time for their matches on the card
Prime Time Wrestling - 12/26/88: Ted Dibiase pinned Koko B. Ware with a small package at 6:16
Virgil (w/ Ted Dibiase) pinned Hercules at 3:36 after Dibiase interfered as Hercules had the backbreaker submission applied and hit Hercules with a chair, moments after the referee was knocked down; after the bout, Jim Duggan made the save against Dibiase and Virgil
Tito Santana defeated Greg Valentine via count-out at 8:55 after ramming him into the ringpost; after the bout, Valentine attacked Santana in the ring until Santana was able to clear him from the ring
Prime Time Wrestling - 12/12/88: Mr. Perfect pinned Jose Luis Rivera with the Perfect Plex at 6:11
Jim Duggan pinned Dino Bravo (w/ Frenchy Martin) at 6:38 with a roll up after Bravo hit a running knee onto Martin who Duggan had pulled onto the ring apron when he attempted to interfere; after the bout Duggan was double-teamed until Duggan cleared them from the ring with the 2X4

    Here's my first show.

  6. I'm a huge Lions fan, but you have to admit it was sketchy. Suh treated it like a happy accident and certainly didn't rush off. If it's any consolation, his jersey was discounted when I was at the stadium a couple of weeks ago. He's on his way out, this move might have hurt his off season value.
