  1. I think it was $60ish (Listed as VG+/VG+). It came up cheaper than the other ones listed so I jumped on it. It is the version with the uncensored cover. Sounds pretty good!

Reasonable, considering the prices of some of the common reissues these days. Speaking of which pretty confident these will get released eventually. Not so confident about Ours. If it were Jimmy who owned them I bet he would, but I believe Distorted is DreamWorks.
  2. Graduation is far and away his weakest album. It's just a basic pop rap album. Good, but not memorable. 808s will go down as a classic, it was by far the most important R&B/Hip-Hop album of the latter half of the 2000's decade.

I can see why you say that about Graduation. Has the most nostalgic for me though and Flashing Lights is still my favourite Kanye song. Can't believe people are comparing Kanye to Radiohead. I believe the previous guy meant OK Computer/Kid A btw.
  3. Truth. Happy to eventually own this on wax but much less excited about the signature. With as fast as the first 2K sold out, no way they haven't sold 2K more. Sufjan moved 10K copies of the limited Carrie and Lowell variant in less time than this. I realize that release was cheaper but it also wasn't "signed" by a grammy-winning, platinum-selling artist with a massive audience. That being said, I can't see how it's going to actually be Kendrick's signature on all these. Hate to say it but starting to feel more like a cash grab for TDE.

I agree. The signature does not mean shit to me unless Kendrick signed it for me in person.
  4. Ours "Distorted Lullibies" is an amazingly underrated album! I'm down for a pressing.

Also, I can't believe Achtung Baby has still only been repressed as the box set. I thought for sure it would be released as a 2xLP by now. I just ended up getting an OG copy from Discogs because this is my favorite album of all time.

Yeah, one of my favourites from the 2000s as well. Huge fan of all of Jimmy's work. I feel like I should be able to own Achtung with ease by now as well. Second favourite U2 record followed by Zooropa. How much did you pay and how does it sound, if you don't mind me asking.
  5. The extreme tonal shift from Graduation to 808s is unlike any artist that I can think of - at least in terms of back to back albums. The extreme emotions conveyed with the unconventional production that proved to be a guidebook for a lot of music nowadays is not to be taken lightly. Seeing him sell out two back to back shows at the Hollywood Bowl last year JUST playing this album is proof.

Agree with this about 808s. Not my favourite of his albums, but it deserves respect.
  6. Beatles - White Album - something new - help!

Rage against the machine - battle of los Angeles

    Crystal castles - st

    Sublime - st

    The who - tommy

    David Bowie - blackstar

    ZZ Top - eliminator

    The cars - heartbreak city

Neutral milk hotel - aeroplane over the sea

George Harrison - gone troppo, somewhere in england, dark horse, george harrison

Red hot chili peppers - stadium arcadium

Black milk and danny brown - black and brown

    Led zeppelin - II

  7. I understand that completely. I don't usually buy CDs but I love the feeling of picking something up from the store on release day, and didn't wanna wait months for that. Although I still don't wanna wait, I could put that $10 towards the LP instead since its up for PO now. When we made our earlier posts, that wasn't the case.

It's been a while now since I picked up a new release CD, partially because of my pent up anger about abandoning 150+ CDs upon moving last year. Slowly rebuilding an epic CD collection for next to nothing.
  8. I probably have tonnes more, but for starters;

Notorious B.I.G. - Ready to Die (repress with all tracks)

    Ours - Distorted Lullabies

    Ours - Precious

Ours - Mercy (Dancing for the Death of an Imaginary Enemy)

The Tea Party - Splendor Soils (repress)

    The Tea Party - Transmission

The Tea Party -The Interzone Mantras

    U2 - Achtung Baby (Repress)

    U2 - Zoorpa (Repress)

U2 - All That You Can't Leave Behind (Repress)

  9. It will probably be about 4 months before the vinyl becomes available. It's too good. I wouldn't be able to hold out for that long.

I realize that, waited forever for To Pimp A Butterfly, but was listening to it so much in the meantime that by the time I got the vinyl I already knew it like the back of my hand. Going to enjoy this as a physical experience for the first time.
