I got RE4 on Tuesday and it's fucking great. I played it on PS2 and Xbox 360, but this new version looks so good.

I didn't realise it was out on PS4 yet, I'll have to get it when I get some cash. I've pretty much stomped through Jill and Chris' scenarios on REmake in just over a week so I need some more Resident Evil soon!

Found a used copy of Fleetwood Mac - Rumors for $4.00 yesterday!  Also grabbed John Carpenter - Lost Themes II.

$4! Makes a change from clueless hipsters selling it on Etsy for $80+ claiming that it's "Rare and OOP!".

Hoping to see Carpenter in Liverpool next month, his music is wonderful, always has been.

I have no doubt it'd work since I don't think he's gonna catch a break anytime soon lol. They could have him lose all the important matches (like the #1 Contender's matches) while he picks up smaller wins against guys like Jinder until he gets a big storyline in time for WM. Hell, maybe even against Owens already if Balor won't return in time.

As much as I'm loving this rejuvenated Kendrick, I don't think him winning the whole thing would've been the best option. A fresh new talent could need that push more (not to mention that his loss was such a wonderfully heartbreaking moment). Also, I'm not so sure it's gonna be Ibushi-Sabre anymore since apparently, neither have signed yet. It could go to anyone at this point. I'd be surprised if Ibushi heads to RAW's Cruiserweight Division instead of going back to NJPW to battle a certain old friend who recently won the G1 Climax for the IWGP Heavyweight Title in a few months.

Yeah it doesn't look like he's catching a break does it? The man's put on at least 3 of the top 10 WWE/NXT matches of the year and his reward is getting to face Jinder Mahal on Raw - WOW.

I agree, I would've wanted him to go out to Ibushi in the final, it would've been epic. Well, not long to wait now...I take it the winner of the CWC won't actually be the cruiserweight champion? That's going to be decided separately I guess?

I just love that Owens is HHH's new chosen one, it's such a perfect fit - not to mention that he deserves the spotlight. Adding Jericho to the mix would be pretty cool, too. And I can see Rollins slowly turning face in the process and after Ambrose got his revenge before the draft, there's no point in keeping him heel (especially since everyone wants to cheer him). I think they'll do an underdog story with Zayn, hopefully against Reigns if he wins the US Title.

Also, the CWC just keeps blowing my mind. Two absolutely fantastic matches. I don't think Kendrick has ever been better (not to mention him doing Neckbreakers on the ring post and a fucking Burning Hammer).

I know Zayn screams out "Underdog story" but we've seen it so many times with so many other superstars that I reckon it might fall a little flat. The only way they could pull it off is if they really shit on Zayn for a long time before they pulled the trigger on the angle.

That burning hammer was an OMG moment for sure, I couldn't believe it, it was awesome!

Too bad they didn't go with the shoot finish to that Kendrick match, would've been amazing to see Kendrick win the match and even go on to win the whole thing.

My original prediction for the final was Kendrick vs. Ibushi, with Kendrick putting Ibushi over in a masterpiece of a match. But now I reckon it'll be Sabre Jr. vs Ibushi instead, which'll still be great if not as good.

Still devastated that Jack Gallagher isn't in it anymore!

tbh watch the movie End of Evangelion before you watch the last two episodes, or don't those episodes are more like bonus features, anyways yea EoE is my fav anime movie lol

I say this to everyone. Skip the last two, skip Death but watch Rebirth and The End of Evangellion. I wish they'd blu-ray'd the original series before they remade it, anyone seen the remakes? Are they any good?

  6. So happy to see the belt on Owens! Even with the storied finish, it opens up so many possible fueds (Reigns vs. Rollins, Rollins vs. HHH etc.)

I'm looking foward to seeing how this Owens and HHH story is going to develop over the next few weeks, I wonder if they'll entwine the whole Jeri-KO plot in to it?

But please, WWE don't bring Zayn in to the fold JUST YET, we've seen them go at it so much recently and I think it'd be better if they left it until Wrestlemania until we see it again.

  7. I find this to a little pointless, especially with such an uninspiring front cover. If it was to buy it, it would be for the Bowie cover alone as he didn't play it when I saw him in Manchester earlier this year. But PT/SW do tend to attract heavy collectors so it'll no doubt sell fast! Not that I can talk, I have at least a handful of SW 7" singles! :P

i'm not big on Sierra Nevada, I've had the pale ale and their ESB. But it's really just not that great, I'm not into the West Coast hops.

I don't drink much lately, but I still like new castle and yuengling and high life because they work in my budget. i'm not crazy about beer anyway. i'm more of a mixed drink fella.

I first had Sierra Navada whilst eating an Almost Famous burger, now it's the only thing I can drink when I've got a greasy burger on the go :D

That match was unbelievable. Ibushi has this crazy ability to kick out riiiiiiight before the 3 count, very few can do that. He even made me believe Maluta was going to win in the first round. Cedric was outstanding and I'm so glad they gave him a massive push by having HHH come out at the end to immediately sign him.

Tajiri-Metalik was pretty good too. Can't wait to hopefully see Tajiri on SmackDown! or NXT soon. Next week's gonna be tough. Tozawa is badass but I love Gallagher to bits. I don't know who to root for.

Do you think that all the talk of Tajiri performing in the CWC as "once last waltz" was just to throw us off for once last return to the main roster?

Coincidentally, just started this one up again last night for the first time in like eight years. It gets a lot of flak but I've always really enjoyed it. It's so light hearted and it's really refreshing to see Spira with the blanket of fear lifted. Plus, c'mon, 1000 Words is classic

I haven't played it in ages, even though I have the PS3 remaster! I'll have to give it another go soon as I too thought it was a little underrated. Sure the characters and dialogue are corny as hell but the gameplay, music and graphics are superb!

How different is Ghost in the Shell manga from the movies/show?

Arthur C. Clark is pretty rad, and I dig sci-fi stuff for sure (Frank Herbert is one of my favs and I really like Heinlein's stuff too). Maybe I should dive in to Tolstoy. I've never given him much of a chance. I don't know that I've ever heard of Gibson before. I'll give him a look.

I'd say that the manga feels more intelligent, the ending in particular is less cryptic and more vocal when it comes to discussing the philosophies behind the story. Plus it's far more pornographic than the movie was allowed to be.

Gibson is basically considered to be a legend in Cyberpunk fiction, he actually predicted (albeit accidentally it seems) the recent rise of Japanese vocaloids by about 20 years in his novel "Idoru" (part 2 of the Bridge Trilogy). I really must check out Frank Herbert's work soon, I was put off by the movie Dune because it seemed so nonsensical to me!
