  1. Well I'm not sure what you'd be in to, my favourite authors, apart from Murakami are Arthur C. Clark (Read "The City and the Stars" and "Rendezvous With Rama"), Leo Tolstoy (try "Anna Karenina" and "Resurrection" ) and William Gibson (try The Bridge Trilogy). As for graphic novels, I've only ever read the Ghost in the Shell mangas 1 and 1.5: Human Error Processor, but if you haven't read them I highly recommend them!
  2. I've read a number of his works, Wind Up being one of them. I was very impressed by it, hugely engrossing from start to finish! My favourite of his is probably either 1Q84 Part II or Hard-Boiled Wonderland and the End of the World. I love how he manages to make such coherent and conventional fiction in such an unconventional manner, I also think that sums up a lot of his characters!
  3. I actually only got around to listening to "The Devil and God Are Raging Inside Me" for the first time the other day. I had a love affair with Deja Entendu when I was a teenager but never ventured further than that until I picked Deja back up a fortnight ago. It seems I'm still in love with it and I'm glad to say that after all these years I thought "The Devil and God Are Raging..." was fucking a fucking beaut. Back on topic though, I won't be purchasing this particular vinyl, I'd rather save my pennies and get Deja...on wax instead!
  4. I've been playing SNES games recently on account of my recent purchase of a USB controller for my PC. Been revisiting Super Metroid, Super Mario World, Street Fighter 2 Turbo and currently I'm playing through Final Fantasy IV (which is the only FF game from I to X-2 that I've never played).
  5. I just finished reading Arthur C. Clarke's "2001: A Space Odyssey", far more conventional than the movie but nowhere near as enthralling as Kubrick's interpretation. I just ordered my next 2 reads, Haruki Murakami's "Norwegian Wood" and Poul Anderson's "Tau Zero", the latter of which I read a year ago when I lent it from my local library and quickly became one of my favorite books (except for the very Hollywood-esque ending!)
  6. I have a shit load of posters in my room, a few signed ones (Paradise Lost, Collide, Epica and Jimmy Carr), loads of Ghost in the Shell posters and many more other bands/films etc, but only one lithograph print that I still haven't found a good frame for! (it's a signed Royal Albert Hall print from Steven Wilson's shows there last year). I'd photograph the Wilson print but I can't get it to lay flat without a frame!
  7. Real name: Ste. Some people call me Netherlands, they are weird people. Favorite Bands: Iron Maiden, Bjork, Porcupine Tree, Anathema, King Crimson, Kayo Dot, maudlin of the Well, Rush. Hobbies (outside of record collecting): Drawing, reading, playing video games (SNES and Playstation), writing music. Play in a band? Run a record label? Link us!: I am the vocalist (screams, growls and cleans) for a Manchester hardcore metal band called Godhand (https://www.facebook.com/godhanduk/?fref=ts) I also have my own electronic/ambient/drone project called Security Plan (https://soundcloud.com/xylem1) Random things you want us to know about you: My idea of a perfect day is good tea and even better records. I shake with nerves when I meet musicians that I idolize, I once used the word Jazztastic to Steven Wilson from Porcupine Tree and he gave me a look that shattered my very soul. I have two dreams in life: #1: to tour Japan with Godhand (supporting Rolo Tomassi) #2: Tea and chit-chat with Bjork.
