  1. I e-mailed Pitchfork for fun, just curious since I never read the article. Maybe I should try the wayback machine...
  2. Way back in the day pitchfork reviewed the flaming lips album "zaireeka" and gave it a 0.0. Now the flaming lips are headling pitchfork's festival and i cant find the review anywhere. Does anyone have a link to it or is pitchfork covering up their dirty past? :
  3. In my opinion, what happened when he was 13 is irrelevant. A court heard the case and passed a verdict, and therefore, Daniel Hood shouldn't be held accountable by schools or the general public without regard to his trial. I'm not sure if he had to serve time for his crime or what, but either way he has paid his debt to society.
  4. I'd say this tour is looking more and more to me like it isn't going to be the Blink 182 of their golden days (probably stating the obvious here). At this point I'm not really expecting rave reviews of their shows. I like Weezer, but I really don't know what they're doing screwing around with a washed up Blink 182 and Fall Out Boy...
  5. Well, to be honest such a high price will either draw committed fans or extremely committed sellers. Also, AC has a very intense core following that has been in the know about this and those fans likely did not miss purchasing this. Also, it is a very "niche" record as it is all live, early, demo-ish stuff that was recorded on mini-disc players. These aren't the best AC songs or best quality, again why this is directed right towards the fans. I was thinking about grabbing this, but 92 is too high. Granted, I'm not a huge AC fan and only have one of their albums. It's like Sigur Ros stuff. This release was made for die hard fans, and 1000 is a good release to do just that. And again, the packaging and need for the companies to make a profit probably led to the price. Unless you are a huge AC fan, I don't know why you are complaining. Buy their LPs that were intended to be put out. I'd say that Animal Collective's fanbase is large enough that a release like this actually would get some hype. Granted, not nearly as much as a lot of other groups, but still. Also, I'm not really complaining, I'm just pointing out the irony of the situation (see eBay link posted above). Also, I'm 100% sure that people that heard about that, since it was sort of sprung on the public, were just as likely to be die hard fans as people looking to flip a quick dollar.
  6. In a surprise twist ending, she wanted you to text her for a hot lesbian hookup.
  7. Which is why we are putting it online only for the low, low price of $92. After it sells, people that bought it will probably go ahead and turn around and sell it on eBay so that fans that actually want to hear the album will have to pay well over $100 to pick up a copy. Also, we're not releasing a CD. Don't thank us, we know how awesome we are.
  8. Honestly, accepting only cash or money order isn't something that I would think is unheard of but personally I would only go for Paypal. It's easier, and you end up having a reciept for the transaction in case he would end up claiming to have never recieved payment.
  9. I've been looking for this one for a while but nobody seems to have it. Won't get paid until the end of this week, am willing to work out payment over Paypal though when I do. Thanks in advance.
