EBAY AUCTIONS MINDSET ANNOUNCE “TIME & PRESSURE” EP After a year of playing with fury all over North America, including breakout sets at both the Sound and Fury and This Is Hardcore festivals, Maryland Straight Edge powerhouse Mindset are heading back to the studio at the end of October to record the follow up to their inspiring “R E A L P O W E R” EP. The new 6 song EP entitled “Time & Pressure” will be released on REACT! in January and I can’t tell you how psyched we are to be a part in the next chapter of this band. I’ve had the chance to watch these guys grow into one of the most uplifting and powerful bands of our time, and it’s an honor to continue to be a part of getting their music and message out to the world. With “Time & Pressure” you can expect the same urgency and passion that Mindset is known for, but with lyrics and song writing that show a marked growth and evolution. This EP will also be the first recordings that Dan (drums) and John (guitar) will lay down with the band, and we’re looking forward to hearing the great stuff they’ve added. Get the Most have had a busy year that included a West Coast tour, serious setting-it-the-hell-off at Sound and Fury, an East Coast appearance, and their first ever European tour. Currently the band are putting the finishing touches on their new 10 song LP entitled “Together” which will be released on REACT! this winter. With an incredible demo and two already classic EPs, Bubs assured us that “Together” will deliver the same fast paced energetic sound that the band is known for, with some surprises thrown in as well. This will be the first proper full-length that REACT! will release so it’s fitting that it’s by the band that inspired me to start the label. We’re going to be going all out for this release and once the record is finished being recorded and is in production we’ll get the pre-order information out for you. CREW I’m happy to announce that Seattle Edgemen Not Sorry have joined the REACT! CREW. Formed with the intention of playing stripped down hardcore with a thought provoking message, Not Sorry have turned heads with an awesome demo, a West Coast tour, and local shows that can only be described as LIVE. Their sound falls in the vein of early Revelation bands but with a personality all of their own, and lyrically NxS focus on the way we choose to treat others, human and animal alike. All four members are people that I have a lot of respect and love for so it’s great to be able to work with a band that I know stands 100% behind their music and words. Not Sorry will enter the studio this winter to record their début EP for REACT! which is expected for a early 2010 release. That’s a long wait for what is sure to be great record, but don’t sweat it because NxS have two buns in the oven already. Their now out-of-print demo is being pressed on vinyl in the US by my man Joe at Lifeline Records and in Europe by David at Salad Days Records, and will not only contain the demo tracks, but also two brand new songs. RECORDS SHOWCASE ANNOUNCED We’ve been sitting on this one for a while, but now we can finally announce the REACT! RECORDS SHOWCASE on April 9th and 10th at 924 Gilman St in Berkeley CA. The two-day showcase will feature the REACT! line-up, including bands that have yet to be announced to the label roster, as well as a couple of non-label bands. The aim is to not only have a whole pile of new releases ready for the showcase, to also present ideas that encourage thought, debate, and action. I’m beyond stoked at the idea of having so many of my favorite people and bands coming together for the weekend, and you can expect attention paid to making this an event that underlines that Hardcore is more than music. More details will be announced over the next few months, but for now just mark April 9th and 10th on your calendars and get ready to break out your dancing shoes. CARRY ON “IT’S ALL OUR BLOOD UPDATE Covers (check), inserts (check), vinyl (check.. what the hell???). Yes its true the CxO LP is going to be delayed by a few weeks. Why? Well the plant packed too many copies in each box when they shipped them and they arrived to myself and Youngblood and they arrived broken, warped, and scuffed up. The plant has agreed to fix the issue, but we wont have the new copies for a few weeks so expect shipping to start in early Nov. Just got back from the Seattle date and both Frank Turner and Gaslight Anthem KILLED IT! This was the first time I've ever seen Frank Turner and I was extremely impressed. Loved Ones were playing as a three piece and were good, but seemed to be a little off. Murder By Death isn't really my thing but people were definitely into it. Gaslight played a tight set (as always) that was primarily made up of songs from '59 Sound. Those guys seemed to love every minute of their set and they are always smiling. Gaslight was selling varsity jackets which I think were awesome. Not sure how many people will actually pick one up (they were $60), but I still think it's a great idea.

WEBSITE LAUNCHED JUNE 19th ON AND GONE BUT NOT FORGOTTEN PRE-ORDERS START JUNE 19th Pre-orders for the ON “Double Vision” LP and Gone But Not Forgotten “Seattle Crew” EP start on Friday June 19th. Beyond the vinyl there will be new merch designs for both bands and package deals for each release which will include an extremely crucial HARDCORE LIVES package. This package will be limited to 100 and will include all the available pre-order colors of both releases and a shirt from each band. Clearly it’s going to be quite an affair. Here’s some details on these fine core releases: ON- DOUBLE VISION (RXR-005/RR-27) In 2008 some of my favorite people came together to form one of the most exciting bands of the past few years: ON. Pushing the boundaries ON deliver music which runs the gambit of straight forward hardcore to groove based jams, and offer powerful vocals with insightful and inspirational lyrics. With the self-release of their two incredible EPs and intense work ethic ON has managed move beyond the “ex members of” tag and define themselves as one of the most creative and hard working bands in hardcore. With both ON EPs now being out of print, Reaper Records and REACT! have joined forces to release “Double Vision” which compiles both the “Vital Times” and “Control” EPs in LP format. The art duties were handled by Ace and Beej, who put together a package that has a classic vibe that avoids being generic, and you can check out both the cover art and the song “GENERATIONS” which are posted on our myspace page. This vinyl-only release will include a free digital download drop card and both REACT! and Reaper will each have their own limited color available for pre-order which you’ll only be able to get directly from that label with 250 copies on WHITE VINYL (REACT!), 250 copies on CLEAR VINYL (REAPER) and 350 copies on BLACK VINYL. GONE BUT NOT FORGOTTEN- SEATTLE CREW EP (RXR-006) 2008 long time friends Face (Get the Most), Paul DC (Sinking Ships), and Jamie King (giant dude) decided to start a new bad that focused on writing fast HARDcore in the vein of Floorpunch, No For An Answer, and Brotherhood. Rounding out the line-up with Kyle (Get the Most) and Garret (The Answer, Vanguard) GBNF entered the studio to record the 8-song “Seattle Crew” demo and then set themselves to blowing people’s minds up and down the West Coast with unrelenting jams and intense live shows. The demo, released by REACT! in tape format and limited to 300 copies, sold out in two weeks, and due to the serious bad-ass-ness of those jams we decided to release these tracks on vinyl. This release, which will include a free digital download card, is limited to a one-time-only vinyl pressing with 200 copies on WHITE VINYL, 300 on BLUE VINYL, and 400 copies on BLACK VINYL. Each copy will also include hand-screened cover which features art by Jamie King and you can check out both the cover art and the song “UNFORGIVEN” which are posted on our myspace page. With so much watered down “hardcore” out there it’s a real privilege to be able to work with a band that stands for something and has the music and outlook that back it up, so many thanks to GBNF for their efforts and for not only talking the talk, but also walking the walk. PLEASE TAKE NOTE: Due to our summer/fall release schedule we’re having to take these orders pretty far in advance from when the records are actually going to be ready to ship. We haven’t received the test presses yet, and although we’re hoping for the best there’s often some kind of bump in the road that delays things. This would make sense, especially since I got the 7" directly from Chunksaah, not from the souls. And for the record, I wasn't really joking about the A side sounding like euro youth crew...that was the most accurate way to describe it!

Hey Everyone - I just picked up the Bouncing Souls 20th Anniversary Series Volume One 7" and noticed something the first time I put it on my turntable. Side A has three random songs of European sounding youth crew rather than two Bouncing Souls songs. I did a search on here and couldn't find anything about this... Does anyone know what is up with this? Thanks! Jim XXX P.S. It's the Black/Maroon haze tour press if anyone was wondering.
