  1. Yep. With blank white labels and tracks handwritten on the dust sleeve.
  2. Thanks. Just picked up a test press of this before I was able to track down a regular copy at a reasonable price and was surprised when I played it.
  3. Random question for anyone with a copy of the I'm The One single. Does your A-side play at 45rpm and B-side play at 33? P.S. If you have a chance to go see Filmage, don't pass it up! I saw it last weekend in Ft. Collins along with an ALL show and a surprise Descendents set. Was one of the best nights of my life!
  4. I posted this a while back, but some people are still having issues with the glue lines on their covers so here it is again: http://www.danielsmith.com/Item--i-072-010-001-LIST This stuff worked perfect for me after thinking I was never going to get the glue off.
  5. If anyone is having issues getting the black glue off of their sleeves, my girl friend recommended this stuff and it worked really well. It didn't leave any residue on the sleeves and didn't discolor the sleeves at all. http://www.danielsmith.com/Item--i-072-010-001-LIST
  6. Preorders for MINDSET - Leave No Doubt start Wednesday (aka today. aka EDGE DAY) at approximately 12pm PST in the REACT! Webstore. The record will be available in three colors, and there will be special discounted package deals with extra cool shit. http://hellfishfamil...recordsfeatured If you haven't heard the new record yet, check out a stream of it here: http://gluehc.com/?p...pe=post&p=10304 XXX
  7. One of the records took longer than expected at the plant (thanks record store day!) but everything has been finished up and sent to Hellfish. Packages will start shipping next week. Thanks for the support! XXX
  8. I'm "legit bummed" on this and had no intention of flipping it. I could have picked up the record I purchased at a local record store and saved the $8.70 I paid in shipping. Let's not forget that I selected Media, was charged for Priority, and didn't receive any response when I emailed the label. Am I "legit bummed" that I can't flip a free record. No. I'm "legit bummed" that a label I have supported for 10+ years intentionally misled me. Whatever.
  9. Not to spread rumors...but be here: http://hellfishfamily.com/stores/react-recordsfeatured at 2pm (pacific)! XXX
  10. REACT! RECORDS NEWS - Mindset, Growing Stronger, Tranzmitors pre-orders April 2nd! - All Peace/Damages/Fell T Low/Noose orders have shipped. MINDSET, GROWING STRONGER, TRANZMITORS PRE-ORDERS APRIL 2nd! After the huge undertaking of moving our store from Seattle to California we’re finally ready to release some new records! Mindset, Growing Stronger, and Tranzmitors will all have new releases available for pre-order on Monday April 2nd. Of course there will also be new merch for the bands as well as package deals for all your vinyl fiend needs. Here’s the details: RXR-030 Mindset- Collection LP In celebration of 30 crucial records and the subsequent liquidation of two of the label's landmark releases, REACT! Records and MINDSET are proud to announce their latest collaboration; the MINDSET EP Collection (RXR-XXX). The product of a bond formed in the back of rusting, heat-less cargo van/ death trap hurtling relentlessly through the frigid winter of 2007 during the waning days of The First Step, the REACT!/MINDSET relationship has developed from two up-and-comers to arguably one of the most crucial pairings of recent memory. The EP Collection resurrects and combines the out-of-print R E A L P O W E R (the record that started it all) with the band's raging sophomore release (also out of print!), Time & Pressure, onto a 45rpm 12". All tracks have been remixed by Kevin Bernsten at Developing Nations in Baltimore, and remastered by Carl Saff in Chicago, who ware able to collectively bring even more power and intensity to the MINDSET sound we've come to know and love. As always, graphics on this release were handled by Ev Wivell (vocals) and feature classic tour photography by Chris Bavaria (bass) from both eras of the band as well as live shots by Todd Pollock and Dan Gonyea. All this and more has been formatted into a gatefold LP, BOLD style! Each copy will come with a digital download and the pressing info is 300 on WHITE and 500 on BLACK vinyl. For the diehards out there, we’re offering a Deluxe Edition double LP version on RED VINYL limited to 200 copies. This version combines a second press of the LiveSET LP (originally released by UpsideDown Records) with the Collection LP. A sort of one stop shop for all your MINDSET needs if you will. The 2xLP is the only version that will have LiveSET, and will also come with a limited zine and a sticker. You can check out three of the remixed and mastered songs here: http://reactrecords.bandcamp.com/album/mindset-ep-collection RXR-029 GROWING STRONGER- TOXIC FUMES EP Out of the rain soaked gutters of the gloomy Northwest comes Seattle's own Growing Stronger. Their new EP "Toxic Fumes" is a furious onslaught of angry straight edge hardcore, much in the vein of 97a and No For an answer. Six break neck speed anthems destined to make you grind your teeth while you sit in traffic and wait for the Space Needle to fall on the car in front of you. Recorded at the infamous Dangler by Phil Jones. Layout by FACE and Bubbles. All copies will come with a free digital download, and the pressing info is 200 on GOLD, 300 on RED, and 500 on BLACK. This one is a real rager and Jim from REACT! is heading up the vocal duties so you need to check it out! This is such a special release for the label that we put together a documentary on how this record came together. Check it out: http://vimeo.com/33099436 You can preview tracks from the EP here: http://reactrecords.bandcamp.com/album/growing-stronger-toxic-fumes-ep RXR-027 TRAZMITORS- S/T With several releases spanning such fine labels as Deranged, La Ti Da, Seeing Eye, Ugly Pop, Dirtnap, and Meaty Beaty, The Tranzmitors are back with a new single on React! Together since 2005 this Vancouver band is the perfect answer to anyone looking for songs with the astute hooks of Elvis Costello’s “This Year’s Model” and the punk virility of the Buzzocks. Like the Cute Lepers and the sorely missed Exploding Hearts, The Tranzmitors have the kind of timelessness that makes you want to forget about any punk records made after 1980. Err, except for this one. I listened to this EP multiple times every day for two months straight so I can vouch for how awesome it is. Every copy will come with a free digital download and the pressing info is 200 on CLEAR BLUE, 300 on SOLID BLUE, and 500 on BLACK vinyl. You can preview a track from the EP here: http://reactrecords.bandcamp.com/album/tranzmitors-self-titled-ep ALL PEACE/DAMAGES/FELL TO LOW/NOOSE ORDERS HAVE SHIPPED Finally, after a lot of blood, sweat, and no tears all the Peace/Damages/Fell To Low/Noose orders have shipped. This was a huge delay for us, and you have our heartfelt apologies on that. Thankfully, now that we’re with Hellfish massive delays are a thing of the past, and we really appreciate all the support that we received from everyone. In the future all pre-orders will only be put up when records are already on their way to us, so that we can keep wait times as short as possible. If you have yet to pick up these great release then what’s wrong with you? You can get them now from our webstore, or from any of the fine distros that we go through. If you’re cagey and want to check out some tracks before investing your hard earned cashola then check out our bandcamp: http://reactrecords.bandcamp.com/ Thanks for your support! www.itstimetoreact.com
  11. I love this thread! I recently picked up a copy of Bonus Fat that has New Alliance labels, but the SST cover. Has anyone ever heard of / seen something like this? I'm guessing it was either left over from the original pressing and put in an SST cover when the first re-press happened, or someone damaged the original cover and replaced it.
  12. Has anyone heard anything about when these will go up on the Epitaph / Kings Road site? I noticed this morning that there are copies of Love Ire & Song on red available in the store again...
  13. These pre-orders all went up this morning. Check them out if you haven't already!
  14. REACT! RECORDS NEWS 02/10 - GET THE MOST “TOGETHER” PRE-ORDERS - PRAISE “GROWING.CHANGING.HEALING” PRE-ORDERS - DAMAGES JOIN THE REACT! CREW AND PRE-ORDERS - COMMON CAUSE JOIN THE REACT! CREW - MINDSET “TIME & PRESSURE” UPDATE - NEW WEBSITE LAUNCHING SOON - REACT! SHOWCASE LINE-UP/POSTER/TRAVEL INFO GET THE MOST “TOGETHER” PRE-ORDERS 2009 was a great year for Get The Most with a European tour, an insane set at Sound & Fury, and the recording of their first full length “Together”. From their demo to their two EPs, this band has inspired others to grow and to strive for more, and their full length is undoubtedly one of the most anticipated hardcore records of this year. Now the wait is over, and I’m excited to announce that pre-orders for the Get The Most “Together” LP start on Monday February 22nd. This 10-song LP delivers the same power and energy that GTM is know for, with socially conscious and motivating lyrics that show that hardcore is more than music. Two new songs MATTER OF CHOICE and TRUE POTENTIAL are have been posted to our myspace page so check them out!! The pressing is limited to 200 on CLEAR, 400 on BLUE, and 900 on BLACK and each copy will include a digital download and all the other good stuff you can expect from us. We’ll also have a few new merch designs and package deals that will include our two other new releases so make sure to stay on point for Monday February 22nd. Until then make sure to check out their new songs and also stop by their myspace page and show support for this incredible band: http://www.myspace.com/getthemosthc PRAISE “GROWING.CHANGING.HEALING” PRE-ORDERS Praise was started by Andy Norton as a way of sharing his ideas, facing his struggles, and coping with the loss of a loved one. As the songs developed it was clear that something truly special was coming together, and what was initially intended as a project became a full band with the addition of Mike, Chris, Colby, and Dan who all helped bring the songs to life. In January 2010 the band entered the studio and recorded the band’s début EP “Growing, Changing, Healing” and I’m honored to announce that pre-orders will begin on Monday February 22nd. Musically this incredible 4 song EP draws influence from Battery, Turning Point, Civ, Gorilla Biscuits, and 7 Seconds, yet maintains a character all of it’s own. Lyrically Andy focuses on reflection and personal growth, as well as encouraging people to recognize their own ability to create change in our world. Art duties for this EP were handled by Kevin Seconds and the new song HEALING has been posted to the REACT! myspace so stop by and take a listen. The pressing is limited to 200 on ORANGE, 300 on GREEN, and 400 on BLACK and each copy will include a digital download and all the other good stuff you can expect from us. We’ll also have a few new merch designs and package deals that will include our two other new releases so make sure to stay on point for Monday February 22nd. Until then make sure to check out their new song and also stop by their blog: http://searchforthesun.blogspot.com/ DAMAGES JOIN THE REACT! CREW AND PRE-ORDERS Damages was started by Andrew, Hieg, Carl, and Andy (later replaced by Motor) who wanted to start a band that captured the sound and spirit of ‘90s post-hardcore, drawing from the legacy of Dischord, Ebullition and Touch & Go/Am-Rep. Drawing influence from bands like Shotmaker, Policy of 3 and Four Hundred Years, the initial line-up released their début EP “Scars” on Clue #2 records and set out to remind people that great music played with heart, creativity, and conviction always has a place in the Hardcore community. I’ve known these guys for years having loved their previous and current bands (Blue Monday, Keep It Clear, All Through a Life, Deadsure) and having both Andy and Motor had done time filling in for Champion. To me Damages is the perfect balance of powerful song-writing, gripping lyrics, and an intense live show so I’m happy to announce that REACT! will be releasing their new EP “Unrequited” this spring, and the new track POST DATE is now up on our myspace so make sure to check it out! Pre-orders will start on Monday February 22nd along with the GTM and Praise records, and the pressing is limited to 200 on GREY, 300 on CLEAR, and 400 on BLACK and each copy will include a digital download and all the other good stuff you can expect from us. We’ll also have a few new merch designs and package deals that will include our two other new releases so make sure to remain emotive for Monday February 22nd. Until then make sure to check out their new song and also stop by their myspace: http://www.myspace.com/damagestothearchive COMMON CAUSE JOINS THE REACT! CREW Common Cause started in late 2005 when long time friends Daniel and Jon set out with the goal of creating a 80’s styled hardcore band that drew influences from Youth of Today, Straight Ahead, and The Abused, while reflecting the goals and ideals of people who believe in change. After recruiting Hans, P.O. (later replaced by Espen), and Truls to round out the line-up, band recorded their 5-song demo in March of 2006, and later that year Common Cause returned with their 7” EP “Statement Of Purpose” which was released on Powered Records. In the following years CC hit the road with bands like The First Step, Justice and ON, and in 2008 released their full-length “The Power to Change” also on Powered records. I had met Daniel through his former band Damage Control, so when I heard that he had a new project I immediately checked it out and have been blown away by every release they’ve done. Their live shows are unbelievably powerful and when you see Common Cause you know you’re seeing a true representation of HARDCORE. So, I’m psyched to announce that in the spring of 2010 REACT! will be releasing the “Statement of Purpose” LP which combines their demo and EP in a full-length format, remastered, and pressed at 45 rpm. Pre-orders will start in March along with the Betrayed EP so until then check them out at their myspace: http://www.myspace.com/commoncauseoc MINDSET “TIME & PRESSURE” UPDATE Test presses have been approved for Mindset’s incredible new EP “Time & Pressure” and we plan on shipping orders starting the 2nd week of March. Oakland is actually closer to Berkeley, where the REACT! Showcase is being held, but we would suggest you base your decision on cost. Depending on where you are flying to/from, it may be cheaper to go to one or the other. Ground Transportation San Francisco/The Bay Area has just about the best public transportation system in the U.S. Rental cars are really not a necessity, but if you just need to have that sense of freedom that comes with a vehicle, by all means, rent one, but do try to carpool. It cuts down on costs and emissions. If you want to check out public transportation options and route maps, these are the two main options: BART (Bay Area Rapid Transit) – http://www.bart.gov/ AC Transit (Rapid Buses) - http://www2.actransit.org/main.wu Lodging Berkeley is sort of strange for lodging. There must be some wicked zoning requirements because major hotel chains are all but forbidden from establishing themselves within city limits. With that said, we have partnered with five area hotels/motels for the Showcase and negotiated lower rates for all of you traveling from afar. Simply call the hotel directly via the phone number below, mention the “REACT SHOWCASE” and you should get the room rate that is posted. These negotiated rates are in limited quantities, so make your reservations now! The rates are available on a first come, first served basis, and when they’re gone, they’re gone, so get on it. I’ve tried to list out most of the pertinent details to help you make your decision, but if you need any additional help, you can email [email protected]. They are in order of recommendation. The Doubletree Hotel is the most “corporate” of the bunch, and if you are in a band traveling with merch/instruments or plan on walking back from Lanesplitters at 2am, this is the hotel for you. On the other hand, if you are all about the bottom line, you can stay at the Golden Bear Inn for $75 a night. Other than the Doubletree, most of the hotels in Berkeley are considered “Inns” and they may only have 40 rooms in the entire property, so again, MAKE YOUR RESERVATION EARLY. Doubletree Hotel 510.548.7920 Star rating: ***1/2 Trip Advisor rating: 3 Fest rating: A+ REACT! negotiated rates, single/double: $99/$99 Total number of rooms: 378 Pros: nice hotel, close to Gilman Cons: wireless internet $9.95 a day (but free in the lobby) La Quinta Inn 510.849.1121 Star rating: ** Trip Advisor rating: 3 Fest rating: A REACT! negotiated rates, single/double: $69/$79 Total number of rooms: 108 Pros: close to Gilman, free breakfast, free wireless internet Roadway Inn 510.848.3840 Star rating: ** Trip Advisor rating: 4.5 Fest rating: A- REACT! negotiated rates, single/double: $84.95/$94.95 Total number of rooms: 41 Pros: free breakfast, free wireless internet Cons: Not super close to Gilman Golden Bear Inn 510.525.6770 Star rating: ** Trip Advisor rating: 2 Fest rating: B+ REACT! negotiated rates, single/double: $65/$75 Total number of rooms: 40 Pros: the cheapest option, closest to Gilman Cons: doesn’t have the best reviews Holiday Inn Express 510.548.1700 Star rating: ** Trip Advisor rating: 3 Fest rating: B REACT! negotiated rates, single/double: $109/$109 Total number of rooms: 69 Pros: close to Gilman Cons: priciest option The following hotels aren’t really recommended by the showcase organizers, but they are an option if the ones above all book up, although that is unlikely. We don’t have negotiated rates with them, and they are the three farthest from Gilman, but I’m guessing you’re an adult and you can make your own decisions. Berkeley Travelodge 510.843.4262 Berkeley Vista Inn 510.841.4242 Super 8 Berkeley 510.841.3844 Food Berkeley is VERY vegan/veggie-friendly. Most of these restaurants, however, are located closer to the UC-Berkeley campus and further away from Gilman. Depending on your definition of “walking distance,” many of these restaurants will be within a 1 to 2 mile radius of the venue. A map with options and suggestions will be posted closer to the showcase date. Thanks for taking the time to check this out, and we'll see you at the showcase! http://www.myspace.com/itstimetoreact http://www.itstimetoreact.com
  15. Did you order from REACT! or Youngblood? I know the REACT! orders all shipped back in early/mid December, but the Youngblood orders were sent out within the last week or two (and there may still be some left to ship...I'm not really sure).
  16. That show was a blast! Technical issues during HopeCon were kind of a bummer, but it was great seeing a huge turn out for a show at the American Legion Hall.
  17. REACT! RECORDS NEWS 01/10 - MINDSET “TIME & PRESSURE” PRE-ORDERS - GET THE MOST “TOGETHER” LP DETAILS - BETRAYED JOIN THE REACT! CREW - PRAISE JOIN THE REACT! CREW MINDSET “TIME & PRESSURE” PRE-ORDERS In 2009 the Maryland Straight Edge powerhouse Mindset played with fury all over North America, including breakout sets at both the Sound & Fury and This Is Hardcore Festivals, in support of their unbelievable “R E A L P O W E R” EP. Never following in line, and never slowing down, Mindset have grown to become one of the most uplifting and powerful bands of our time, and I’m proud as hell to announce that on Monday January 25th we will be launching the pre-order for their new EP entitled “Time & Pressure”. This new 6 song 7” delivers the same urgency and passion that Mindset is known for, but with lyrics and song writing that show a marked growth and evolution. This EP also marks the first recordings that Dan (drums) and John (guitar) have laid down with the band, and the results have been nothing short of inspiring. Two new songs CREATE/CONTROL and WASTE have been posted on our myspace page, and two additional songs have been posted on the Mindset page as well, so check them out now and get your head straight! The pressing is limited to 200 on WHITE VINYL, 400 on RED VINYL, and 900 on BLACK VINYL and each copy will also include a digital download code as well as all the good stuff you’ve come to expect from REACT! We will also have a couple of new merch designs as well as some package deals so be ready for Monday January 25th and until then hit up the REACT! and Mindset myspace pages: http://www.myspace.com/itstimetoreact http://www.myspace.com/mindsetsxe **PLEASE NOTE** These orders are launching REALLY early due to the insane release schedule we have this year, the upcoming Mindset/True Colors tour, and the showcase in April. We haven’t even gotten the test presses back yet, so please don’t order if that’s a bum out for you. I really appreciate the support and know that it sucks to wait, so if you do choose to order we’ll make sure you get a little treat before the orders ship. That being said, anyone who orders and then starts to send me a bunch of emails is just going to get a refund and no records. Logic bomb. GET THE MOST “TOGETHER” LP DETAILS The band that started it all for REACT! are back! Get the Most have completed their new 10 song LP entitled “Together” which will be released on REACT! this spring. With an incredible demo and two already classic EPs, Bubs assured us that “Together” will deliver the same fast paced energetic sound that the band is known for, with some surprises thrown in as well. This will be the first proper full-length that REACT! will release so it’s fitting that it’s by the band that inspired me to start the label. Pre-orders will be starting in March, and you can be sure that we’re going to be going all out for this release. Until then make sure to check out their Myspace page and show support for these master killers: http://www.myspace.com/getthemosthc BETRAYED JOINS THE REACT! CREW I’m happy to announce that Betrayed will be releasing our new EP entitled “Suffering” on REACT! this spring. Lyrically focusing on overcoming our own grief and easing the suffering of others, this 4 song EP documents the band still maintaining the urgency of their youth and showing the world that straight edge hardcore is not defined by age. Pre-orders will go up in March and until then you can check out the myspace at: www.myspace.com/betrayedhc PRAISE JOINS THE REACT! CREW Praise is not a religious band, Praise is a Straight Edge band. In the fall of 2007, I was staying with Andy in Baltimore and spent a night discussing life, hardcore, new bands, 7 Seconds, and Straight Edge. Andy brought up that he had a couple of songs written for his previous band and sooner or later would like to use them for a new band. After discussing the ideas behind the music and lyrics I knew that Andy was going to create something special and we agreed that whenever it comes together REACT! would put it out. For almost two years Andy worked on finding the right line-up but time, distance, and life kept things from coming together. But finally in September of 2009 Praise was solidified with Michael Clarke and Colby Malone on guitar, Chris Bavaria on bass, Daniel Fang on drums and Andy Norton on vocals. In January 2010 the band, with their good friend Kevin Bernsten, entered the studio and recorded the band’s début EP “Growing, Changing, Healing” which will be released on REACT! this spring. Pre-orders will be starting in March but until then check out the band’s blog at: http://searchforthesun.blogspot.com/ Thanks for your time and support everyone! www.itstimetoreact.com www.myspace.com/itstimetoreact

Color vinyl is available on a first come first serve basis. For those of you who don't know, TDR is a straight edge hardcore band from Denver, CO. We are four friends who wanted to play fast hardcore and show the world that just because you're over the age of 21 (or 30) doesn't mean you need to give up on the core or on the edge.
