I got one of those in the collection. I'm glad it's not my Bleed American, I feel your pain.

I've seen the double label before, but I'm trying to imagine the actual pressing process and how this label could've gotten caught on something but still manage to be between the stampers when it ripped.

I'm headed to the record store this afternoon. I know that they'll take care of me - they rule.

I got it at a local record store, so I'm skeptical that they have another copy floating around. However, I'm hoping that maybe they can get in touch with their distributor or something? A lot of channels.

Either way, I thought this was pretty wild.

Went to go listen to my copy of JEW - Bleed American for the first time and this is what I see on Side B.

Anyone ever see this on a record before? That busted ass label is pressed right into the last 20 seconds (or so) of grooves! This is the definition of pissing away $40. :-(

I searched paypal for a way to file a claim against Broken Circles for not having pressed this yet. Any help?

P.S. I'm only keeping this thread alive to make Brent's brain explode. It will be my life's goal to have a million smites all from him.

Also, as a side note, IKEA uses a flat rate shipping so if you decide to pony up the shipping costs, you might as well go all out and get anything you may need for the foreseeable future.

As much as I'd hate to keep this thread afloat and giving everyone false hope, I need to chime in and say that I would personally love for every ACB record to be made available on vinyl. Hell Or High Water is a personal favorite of mine, regardless of genre.

Please poke around the rest of the site if you should feel so inclined as well, but note that the only way that you can link directly to the cheap Evergreen Terrace is right here in this thread. :-)

I have gotten quite lucky and scored some decent records on sale at FYE - you have to be pretty diligent to make it happen, but I got a copy of Freelance Whales' "Weathervanes" for like $9.99

This artwork appears that it would have benefited from being screen printed or letter pressed. I'm beyond happy to see more You & I wax entering the world though! Amazing band.

This one is great and their forthcoming record is going to rule as well. Get on this before you're just hopping on the bandwagon.

It keeps showing that the deluxe is out of stock. I hope that there isn't some jerk holding 900 copies in his cart. >:-(

I'd like everyone who is complaining about how difficult or expensive it is to buy LPs at shows to go read the thread about "worst customer service" from a label or distro - I'd gladly pay a band an extra few bucks knowing that they got the cash to help get them to the next show (remember, gas IS $4+) and also get to avoid having to wait 1-2 weeks for a record that may or may not have been crushed by USPS. That peace of mind is priceless.

This is a bummer. I'm surprised that (as Travis said) Touche has managed to crash DW's servers when even huge POs like Converge didn't.

Recently had an awesomely smooth transaction with apple01doj - sold me some rare records at a very fair price, shipped quickly. Didn't use an LP mailer, but secured everything safely nonetheless. No complaints!

I have to give this record another chance...I wasn't too impressed the first time around, and I've been into pretty much everything this band has done.

Side note: I seem to always get screwed on any download codes or CDs if they are included (I'm looking at you A Storm Of Light/Nadja split!)

Brent - you should get an LP pressed with the large hole from United. Then your hole can feel "enlarged" as well when you're done.

They won't even call you afterwards.

I'd love to pick this up, but refuse to buy vinyl from a store like Hot Topic, Urban Outfitters ,Best Buy etc. I'm sure the staff at HT thinks this is a calendar or something.

This makes a ton of sense considering the vast number of exclusive titles that HT releases/carries, doesn't it? Surely, none of the employees collect records or even understand what they are.

I finally caved and walked into my store and they had like 4 copies of this. Grabbed one and got out of there. At 26 I was the oldest person in there by like 10 years.

In other news, funny twist in this thread regarding these LPs showing up before Travis knew about them! Someone broke the street date!

I have put together, then taken apart, moved and rebuilt a 5x5 Expedit more than once by myself.

This proves two things: 1.) I am done moving for a very long time 2.) That my friends aren't very helpful people.

I suggest having a second person around just to mist you with a spray bottle and provide you with anecdotes for entertainment. They might be handy for when you're ready to lift it upright against the wall as well.
