Orange/200
Clear/350 or 359. I've seen both listed
Black seems to be all over the board. 450, 599 and 700 have all been listed.
-
I bought one of these about 5 years ago. Well worth the coin.
Screw all that manual scrubbing shit. Vacuum cleaning rules!

I skip the Lysol Direct. Mainly because I have never seen it anywhere. The article is pretty legit.
-
I have bought all four of the Witches Sabbath series so far and wound up with unwanted cd after unwanted cd. Japanese releases, reisues with video content, etc.
I'm not stopping now. Bring it on.

where i can order sun o))) shirt ?
http://www.allthatisheavy.com/search.asp?SearchTerm=sunn
As an aside, they also ship vinyl more carefully than anyone out there. They insert plastic corners in their mailers to avoid corner bumps and double wrap everything in bubble wrap. You pay higher shipping costs but it is worth it to have dead mint records arrive.

Direct drive and Technics in particular are DJ turntables. If that is your bag, cool.
For comparable money, and audiophile sound, go with an entry level belt drive Rega. I cheaped out and got a Music Hall which has been great as well.
-
I celebrate their entire catalog. I am a Sunn o)))) fan.
Great score man. Glad to see other people on this board into the Grimm.
I am lucky to have gotten into them early in the game. Those White album prices have gotten out of hand. White 1 is still an awesome record. "My Wall" kicks major ass.
And I do walk upon Wan's Dyke, and do survey the land, and I did become the Reaper with my own bare hands....

No man, that Isis set was expensive. That was a tough one to swallow. Hey we live in the same city! Where do you hit it up? Sloth? Melodiya? The almighty Recordland?!?!
i stay away from record land... the old guy in there kicked me out one time because i told him 40 dollars for a beat up copy of foo fighters one by one was too much.
i mostly go to melodya, but i worked at play downtown in td square for a few years and got a lot of not so rare stuff from there.
i feel bad because its so much cheaper to shop for vinyl online when you live in canada. i wish records in stores here were as cheap as they are in the u.s
I hear you on the mailorder. For the kind of collecting I do, online is my only option unless I want to ebay later - no thanks.
On the plus side, I have friends who work at both Sloth and Melodiya so I get a good discount and there are no shipping costs. It is good for random releases or major label stuff.
Ah Recordland. Charging top dollar for beat records. Half of which he causes with his "washing" technique. You ever see him go to town on vinyl with his sponge? Fucked up!
-
i got the isis box set and that was quite a bit but for a single record it would have been the arcade fire - neighborhood #1 (Tunnels) 7" and it was 130 ppd. i guess i'm a light spender compared to a lot of you other guys. wow!

I said it before and I will say it again, it wasn't about the money but the opportunity. For the first time I actually had a shot at one through a private deal with no one breathing down my neck.
They rarely show up on ebay and when they did I got sniped.
Fuck it, I had the money and I went for it.

Making an effort at collecting all variants of all bands on:
Revelation
Deathwish
Bridge Nine
Rivalry
New Age
Youngblood
Victory
I also think I am a Pavlovian dog who salivates on cue to any label who has a website with a detailed discography with pictures of each variant. Rivalry is the perfect example.
That is the one aspect I don't think gets enough mention. Labels who do fancy discographies attract collectors and can only lead to more variant fury.
The colors...The colors...

I ordered the three different cover package. Mine arrived today and I am in Canada.
In 15 + years of mail ordering, I have never received such a beat to shit package! The cardboard mailer was almost ripped in half! The covers are fucked which is too bad as they are really beautiful. In all my days I have never seen bent vinyl. Broken yes, but bent?
It's really too bad, I blame no one but the Canada Post. Nice work.

Pat, I hate trying to reach you in this way, but the email I tried to send you got kicked back to me as undeliverable.
I saw that you posted that confirmation emails were sent out already regarding the Red Album. I never got one and was wondering if you could check on my order for me?
It was paypal transaction 7LE49549KN040591L to Doug Wurzer in Calgary, Canada. I ordered on Dec 8.
Thanks man.

How's Your Edge.
YOU choose your format and how you want your list to look. I created a text document with the groupings I like. The columns and what I choose to comment on are my own. Copy and paste the entire text doc when you update. No sweat.
Recordnerd is the worst. No freedom whatsoever. Jamming all your comments into small columns sucks.
-
So buy the first press and shut up.
Or you can go fuck your hat.
I never said I was right asshole. It was meant to be a discussion. I'm not judging or think I am any better than anyone. I just wanted other people's takes on first presses, represses and all that shit.
-
After reading thread after thread of repress news and the general excitement that people on this board have about them, it got me wondering if I am pretty much - insane.
I hate when a different label represses an album. Nothing makes me want to have the original press more than a repress. When a different label puts the record out, It might as well be a bootleg to me.
Case in point, Lifetime repressed by No Idea? Time to get those Jade Tree pressings!
This has been going on for years.
DYS on Taang? I have to get the original on XClaim.
Minor Threat - Out of Step with the blue bar and $7.00 price? Got to get the first press no color bar/all black back cover.
7 Seconds singles on Pazzafist? Got to get them on AT, Squirtgun and Positive Force.
I own Black Flag's Nervous Breakdown 7" with the red cover. I want to THROW IT OUT because I don't have the ultra rare and expensive first press with the brick wall background.
Even though I collect variants, I will never be satisfied unless I have the first press - even if it means a loss of quality or sound.
Anyone else out there like me or am I totally screwed up?
-
It's not over and they are far from sold out. This was posted on the Youngblood site. Just have to wait a bit.
That Was Crazy
December 04th 2008
Today we got a ton of orders for the Mind Eraser 7″ so we’ve pulled it from the store so we don’t get in too deep with pre-orders. We’re going to start plowing through these and once they’re shipped we’ll put this back up in store.
The Clear and Black vinyl copies are not sold out. We’ll have them up again so stay tuned. Our exclusive REVHQ will have copies in the next two weeks. Thanks for all of the support.

I was just browsing your list monstercody...call you Cody?...and damn man...some good stuff in there. One thing that stuck out...I didn't know there was a "Sound & Fury" press for Blacklisted's HTH,LTG! Would you mind PM'ing me pics of it?
Call me Doug. Pictures on the way once I upload them.

Yeah, you are right. I like your Christina Aguilera collection!
Oh and the Blacklisted HTH,LTG record release. Anytime you want to give that bad boy up...
Hey man...don't be bad-mouthin' Christina...yeah...I listen to her music...so the fuck what?!?!...j/k...Thanks...
As for Blacklisted...it was a bitch and a half to get that record release one...so it isn't going anywhere any time soon...
So do I man. So do I. Ever since Genie In a Bottle. That Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy stuff lost me for a bit, but hey still that voice...

Whoa, thanks for the kind words dudes. Theres some incredible collections on this board. I am jealous of Dave Wallings collection. Easily one of the best out there. Dude has everything
I second that. I use Dave Walling and Kyle Whitlow's collections as the blueprint for what I need for variations. Just incredible!
-
Oh yeah and your mother fukkin' KINGHORSE!!!
I always loved that they made the font for produced by Glenn danzig bigger that the band. Love that record...
