Any religion following the bible has the same view. It's not like i'm making it up. I'm following something that is written in a book that I follow my life by. Hell is not mentioned once in the bible. They talk of sheol and hades which is defined as the human grave, e.g just a state or unconsciousness . and tanusker - i didn't ignore it. Probably just missed it. Been kinda taking a lot of heat and getting blasted from every direction over here

well I have no idea what the bible says about that lol. I can understand that your curious. A lot of peple are curious and thats why we go door to door. In this case I doubt I managed to shed any positive light on anything related to JW but when we talk to people door to door we do get people who are just curious what the bible says and thats all we do. We're not trying to convert people and we're not trying to get money or anything. Honestly, we are just trying to get people to read the bible. People on this bored don't really seem to follow the bible so all my points and opinions are moot.

Sorry I'm busy and not explaining myself well. I don't pick and choose things. The points you mention were under the mosaic law which was done away with after jesus. And what would you take as an accectable answer for my beliefs. And I can find a scripture but I'd have to research a little. Believe it or not I don't have all these scriptures memorized.

Yes I find it unnatural. I believe the media today is making it seem natural and normal where as it has always been something frowned upon. If I stated this opinion 20 years ago it would be a non issue.

It's in the new testament as well. I'm not trying to start fires here. I tell u all that my religion strictly follows the bible and then act shocked when I don't believe in gay rights. The bible describes it as unnatural in both testaments and say it is wrong. I'm sorry if that upsets some people. You can't pick and choose parts of the bible to follow. This thread won't go anywhere because I'm trying to defend an ultra conservative religion on a board that mostly does not believe is a god and that is anti organized religion

I think benchwarmer said it. No one is going to read this thread and decide to change their religions. The question was asked and I answered and hopefully I atleast shed a little light on what we believe and why we do somethings. Sure most of you think it's crazy and stupid but hey, I probably think what you believe is crazy. Don't get me started on evolution lol. I'm just still shocked to see how many atheists and agnostics we have on board. And if God does have some planet jumping plans for us, that would be so bad ass lol
