  1. I also really feel like things will change drastically when Selig is done and we get a new Commissioner. Selig is who really ruined everything and made this giant mess and only cares about his legacy, not the sports. Once someone else takes his place I think a lot of the issues will be gone.
  2. I feel like Canseco really is the guy that should spear head this. He has been nothing but openly honest about them and the effect that he had on them. Because of this, baseball shuns him and mocks him while they should embrace him with open arms because no one else will be honest about it.
  3. Back in high school my friend's mom used to put out this christmas decoration that were wooden blocks in the shape of santa that spelled SANTA. Every day I would rearrange them to say SATAN and her mom stopped after a week because she got so creeped out and thought there was a evil spirit in the house.
  4. I agree with you on Migs, man really is a beast. I am still baffled today as to why the Marlins ever traded him at such a young age. He was an absolute stud then and only going to get better. As long as he can keep his off -field issues to a minimum (stop getting so damn drunk all the time) and can stay healthy he will be above 3,000 and cant wait to see his final ave, HR, OPS, etc. I would consider dropping Desmond and keeping Sandoval and Machado. Between Pablo, E5 and Manny you could trade one of them for someone better than Desmond at ss. I say that because I dont know if i entirely trust his season last year. 40 point jump in ave and obp and 15 more homers? Is it just because he is surrounded by better players and is seeing better pitches or a lucky season?
  5. Am I the only person that makes rules for what a band must do to be a favorite? Like, a band is not a favorite of mine until they have 3 studio albums out, less than that and I dont know if they can continually be good and trusted to put out good stuff.
  6. oh my god Dave, that thread is still hillarious. I forgot all about it and just re read it and it is incredible. Seriously wiping tears away.
  7. Braun getting 3000 hits? Are you serious? Seeing as has played 6 full seasons from 2007-2012 and is at 1089 hits, and just turned 29 this November, he would have to play twelve more years at the same level as his first 6 years to get there. He will not be playing at 41 years old and still be this good. He wont be this good at 35 or 36. He might get 2500-2750 hits, but not 3000.
  8. Its hard to find good stuff youtube since both companies work hard to keep it off there since the only way they stay afloat is via dvd sales. Just check out their sites and they do specials pretty regularly and by some dvds where the card has some names you recognize or wanna check out. I know ROH has quite a bit at 5 bucks every once in a while. It really is well worth your money. If you havent seen any of the 3 matches from the Punk vs Somoa Joe trillogy that ended in two hour long draws you are missing the best wresting matches of all time.
  9. while that match was awesome, you guys need to check out more indy wrestling from ROH (a few years ago) and Chikara. Matches like that are fairly common. you will be doing yourselves a favor if you do.
  10. I wonder if they just hear the Ole's during his matches and think he is super popular and not that people just love his music which he would lose when he came to WWE. If anyone got the Souls as theme song I would think it would be Punk.
  11. Im not a Jack Morris in the hall fan. He strikes me as a very good, but not best of the best. If there was a Hall of the Very Good then for sure, but when I think dominating pitchers who changed the game, I dont think of him at all. Same as Tim Raines. The recent push of a player being near the end of eligibility so everybody vote for him thing in my eyes diminishes the hall. Yes Jim Rice was a good player, but fuck, he doesnt deserve to be in the hall. Biggio I wonder if he is great or just along a long time and durable and really good. He played at a time when the game was changing (not meaning steroids but more teams added, more players so some arent as good, offense was exploding) and was he a product of all those changes or was he really that amazing?
  12. I saw that and not sure what to think. Do they let him stay El Generico? Do they unmask him since you cant have a non mexican luchador? Do they just make him a trainer like Del Ray? If im not mistaken he is over the age of what WWE usually signs unless it is a top name star that is coming back.
  13. I wasnt necessarily trying to argue anything. I didnt remember the numbers of crimes in UK with guns, I knew it was substantially lower and didnt make up the difference in population, but to say that without mentioning a population size difference is erroneous. Both men have valid points, and both men shit all over their points trying to pander to the lowest common denominator out of their camp.
  14. So glad that the HOF announcement was today. I dont know what it has been like on tv, but ESPN has been beating the damn thing into the ground on their mlb site. I dont care what every single writer for them thinks should and shouldnt be in the hall. I personally would have liked to seen Biggio and Piazza get elected but it is what it is and I see the case against both players. It is what it is, and its over with, until next year when ESPN does the same thing again.
  15. And it will never happen. So much more money is invested in the pharmaceutical companies,, much much more than in guns. They are pushing enough money to make sure that it is never brought to the forefront as it should be.
  16. Sadly, I bet many other people in your area say the same thing. These centers are considered taboo in culture, like supporting a woman through a life changing, traumatic event is a bad thing. It also comes down to funding, they dont have the money to spend on radio, newspaper, tv ads and billboards to let people know about them. Check them out and see if there is anything you can do. I know in my area you can be on call like once a month and answer calls. Somethign that simple is a huge help to everyone.
  17. I loved his point of there being less gun murder in the UK than in the US. Well no shit, more people usually equals more opportunity for anything to happen.

  19. Is your username in reference to your penis? Id expect that out of someone like Dashax.
  20. Fuck, that boxing with god line was amazing. I love how Punk's whole promo worked up to it, he didnt come out and try to blow everyone away from the get go but to have it slow simmer and build up as he kept going and laid the masterpiece of the whole promo out with honest and sincerity.
  21. I dont want to seem like Debbie Downer or anything but instead of bitching about this happening and signing useless internet petitions why dont you all go out and get trained to volunteer at your local rape crisis center, rape hotline, womans shelter, etc. This kind of thing happens every single day and night, often just as violent or even more so than this case. Yes it is absolutely horrible and wretched and I am beyond happy that this is getting awareness and the kids will never have a good life now, but that isnt enough. Educate yourself, educate others, do not tolerate this behavior in your neighborhood, city, state. Make a stand against all types of sexual violence and make a real difference in the lives of many women.
  22. Glad I could make your day Ry! Also how were you introduced to them?
  23. God I love Alex Jones. No one makes crazy seem as cool as he does. The sad thing is, if he toned down his act he had some interesting counter points but they get lost in the flood of nutjob.
