  1. The first album snuck up on me and was out a while before I found out about it and now the 2nd album has snuck up on me too.

Available for pre-order from Yep Rock now and you get 2 bonus tracks w/ the pre-order.

But, CD is 15.99 and LP is 19.99(!). The last LP was 180g vinyl but not color or anything. This is supposed to be limited to but not sure how limited.

You can also stream the whole new album there too.

JSBX were some of the best shows I've ever been to, but the last time I saw them I have to say the shtick was getting pretty tired and it wasn't all that rad.

Heavy Trash was great live though.

Jon Spencer's stock is super low these days, but if anyone else out there is still on board, check out Heavy Trash if you haven't...

  2. did everyone get their chuck ragan lps yet? mine still hasn't shown up.

my against me record came crushed and warped and no idea replaced it. i did have to pay to ship it back to them though. the 7" was warped too and that also got replaced. only thing was the 7" sleeve was good and i ended up getting one of the 7" sleeves w/ weak glue.

  3. It is clunky at best. And they must have low bandwidth because it takes forever to load sometimes. And I have no idea how they choose what to archive.

Your idea sounds great. Hook it up dude.

I haven't seen anyone add too many stores to burntwolf, but I was hoping someone would use the google maps API key to create some cool data pulling maps. That is beyond me at the moment.

  4. you can try to find a boss hog lp w/ one in it:

amoeba records in SF/Berkeley/LA has Ameoba slipmats

    saw this on ebay:

i know i've seen different styles around...so i'm sure if you search a while you'll find more than the technics ones...

    also found this:

  5. I have a Technics FGServo SL-BD22 turntable that I've been more than happy with for the past 10+ years.

It wasn't one of the super expensive ones, it had to be under $300 back then...probably well under

Right now it's hooked up to my old Kenwood receiver w/ JBL speakers down in the media room.

    Works fine for my purposes.

Costco had one of those turntables w/ USB output pretty cheap.

  6. i have both pressings from when they came out, but i don't remember any posters or notes; i'll have to go look.

i went to both shows in richmond. we flew out friday from calif and came back sunday. crazy trip, but totally worth it!

i met one of the guys who shot video during the inquistion shows at a gaslight anthem show here last week (i was wearing my inquisition reunion hoodie). he said the dvd is shaping up lookin great.

  7. you can search for a page and if it doesn't exist you create it.

there are templates for artist and release pages. you can put in {subst:artists} or {subst:releases} and save the page, then edit it.

i don't think i got around to doing a store page template.

you can look at an existing store page and take the wiki code from that, then edit it.

i've been super busy so haven't had time to work on the site much (i have a kid on the way).

$100/year doesn't seem too bad to me considering what Dreamhost offers. As long as people are using it and adding to it anyway.

Let me know if you have any other wiki q's either through here or the wiki or burntwolf at burntwolf.com

    cheers

  8. yea, i saw that banner ad on usps the other day too, but i forgot to go back and click on it to see if it was anything special.

i do use the "large" priority boxes to ship vinyl to US addresses and save my proper LP mailers for overseas shipments. unless i have mailers lying around from stuff i've bought, then i just recycle those first.

you can fold them flat and tape the edges and they work pretty well, never had any complaints. someone sent me a record this way once, so i started doing it to save a bit on mailers. you can only do this w/ the regular Priority boxes though; you have to use the Flat Rate Priority boxes as they are for some reason.

a priority flat rate envelope w/ some pieces of cardboard on a 7" work for those too, but i usually have spare 7" mailers around.

they've gotten really fascist about using the priority labels on other stuff too, even if you cut off the priority part of it. so now i cut off all the identifying bits and just use the rest of the label.

    usps tricks of the day...

  9. yea it was. i had it. sold all my discount stuff during the great Unemployment Liquidation.

i miss discount too. the bands the members formed have not been so rad, altho some of the kills stuff i like ok. i have their first ep on blue still.

i got to see them on their last tour in SF. they were great. i had a huge crush on allison.

i don't see that 7" in my pics tho. i haven't posted those to Burnt Wolf yet, but here are the pics i have (if the vinyl isn't showing, it's just black)

    http://flickr.com/photos/9805881@N07/sets/72157600871985953/

i think the discount/as friends rust one is the black sleeve w/ the blue vinyl, but i can't remember now exactly.

you just missed a half-fiction too:
