Anyone hear anything new about the live at rough trade record?  I thought it was supposed to come out the 15th but haven’t received any shipping notice.  Am I wrong on the date?

I haven’t really listened to converge past when forever comes crashing, but couldn’t pass up on that clear you fail me.  Maybe this will open the door to the later stuff for me.   

Jesus, I know Newbury charged a bit of a premium on their variants... but that has to be a mistake.

Double lol, those weren't bands, they were other labels.  And yeah, they all got screwed, or at least had stories of other labels getting screwed.

Same wheelhouse maybe, but different time.  And I later realize I have heard of red scare, but not the other two.  Seems like this just isn’t my thing, I liked some earlier no idea records but that’s kind of where it ends for me.  I’ll give off with their heads a try though.

Like I said, look at the comments for those posts. You'll find people from Don Giovanni, Kiss of Death, and Red Scare confirming that they ripped off bands and labels. 

Nope.  Had to google the persons name to figure out the band. I’ve seen their records at shops but never heard em.  To be fair when I think of no idea I’m thinking hot water, against me!, small brown bike, swarm, stuff like that.  I’m not familiar with the bands you listed.  If they got screwed that’s unfortunate.  

Bit pricey, but I picked up something anyway.  Think I’d need a little more background than a post from a band I know nothing about to write off an entire label.  My old band did a couple records on a label that others had bad experiences with, but I had no issues with.  Figure there’s always 2 sides.  

Also so just remember pulling my first record from a label that I felt was “mishandling” it, and thought they were fucking it up.  Gave it to a couple friends who wanted to start up a label of their own.  Looking back, the first label didn’t really do anything that bad, and probably didn’t need to burn that bridge.  Now the label seems to be doing quite well, and haven’t heard anything negative about it.  Not that the second label was a mistake or anything, they’ve also done some pretty cool stuff since.  Just saying, for what it’s worth, I’m my limited experience labels are a tricky thing and shit happens.

Not signed or as pricey, but in the same boat.  Definitely hope it’s noticeably different.  

I picked up 2 cure color represses a while ago on vinyl lovers records from my local shop. When I went to add them on Discogs, seventeen seconds was official, but pornography was not, and barred from sale.  Thought that was weird.  

And some bootlegs I think are worth the pick up, joy division is a good example of that.  But I stay away from counterfeits, even though some seem to be pretty good.  Like from what I’ve heard the third queens of the stone age record has some pretty good sounding ones out there.

Last thing, those dag nasty boots above are pretty damn cool.

After getting burned by the shop down the street, hit a bigger one around noon and was able to pick up almost everything I was looking for.  I was surprised at how much they had left, guess it wasn't that busy of an rsd for them.  Had to buy the atdi and scream lp off eBay for what I think was a fair price, but I'm done.  Adding the Bronx reissues... this was a very expensive day.  

Well, my local shop was a disappointment...  first in line, first to flip through and all I got was the Neil young and one of the Willie nelsons.  They had maybe 10 different rsd titles, and a bunch of non rsd bootlegs.  Gonna hit up some other shops now and pick at the scraps. 

Woke up early to order the bronx reissues and couldn't go back to sleep.  So walked down to my local shop to wait in line out of boredom.  Bout half an hour till open and still the only person in line.

Had a feeling that might happen, so I set my alarm for 7am PT instead of 10.   Sure enough they were up.

Speaking of which, the AUS orders reached the UK this weekend.  Got a nice £24 Customs & Duty charge.

If they're putting them up online I really wonder if they'll be limited to 300 each.  Just sold my copy of II, so I'm hoping I can pick up the reissue before it sells out.

I believe when I first ordered it stated clear, but I could be wrong.  Asked mporium and they said that they are the only place that has it on clear, as far as they knew at least.

When I ordered just the 7", it said limited to 500 pieces.  But if they're all on clear I'd be surprised if that's accurate.  Guess we will see.

Mporium has it up, listed as clear vinyl /500.  Think that is a variant limited to the site, or do Piccadilly and bullmoose have the same one?
