  1. Why would you order again, did you get a full refund? I was going to order it at this price, but maybe I won't since you had trouble with it.

I did get a full refund.  I had trouble months ago - one of the first times it came down in price.  I'm hoping that by now they have figured out how to pack them properly.  If they shipped all of them like that and mine was the only damaged package I'd be surprised.

  2. I'm trying ordering Aeroplane again.  Did anyone else (ordering from CA shipping to US) have issues with the package being eaten in shipment?  The first time I ordered this it arrived in a beat up box, but it looked like UPS or DHL (can't recall which) had actually put it in the box.  It looked like amazon CA shipped it without boxing first (shipping label on shrink wrap) - needless to say everything was bent, shrink wrap was ripped off, 3 albums had fallen out of their sleeves on the bottom of the box.  Think if you played catch on pavement but no one caught it.

  3. Ive spoken to the band about it and they plan to do it themselves one day so I chose to respect their wishes. I speak to rob hitt from the band sometimes because he manages a few artist's ive worked with so maybe if they never end up actually re-uniting then I can convince him but I think they are planning to do their own re-issues when & if the band members ever feel like playing together again.

Ah not the news I was hoping for, but thanks for the info!

  4. Picked up the self titled cause it was pop punk gold in its day!

Since I didn't want to start a new thread asking for things to be repressed, this may be as good a place as any (there's relation, I swear).  Any chance of getting Midtown - Forget What You Know repressed?  Reason being is I remember Travis saying he never had any luck with getting Sony catalog stuff repressed (when he had the first 2 midtown records pressed).  Since these GC records are Epic (Sony) and Midtown is Columbia (Sony) it seems that door may be open now?

  5. So I got a response back a couple days ago - dude seemed pretty bummed about the whole release. He issued a refund (although I just wanted an exchange really due to the warping) and an apology. He said he didn't mean to screw anyone over and shut down the label (my email wasn't harshly worded so I think he's taken lots of crap). Kinda sad really that his heart definitely seems to be in the right place but the release turned out the way it did.

  6. Green Day - Dookie

    Operation Ivy - Energy

Rancid - ...and Out Come the Wolves

    Blink 182 - Dude Ranch

    Elvis Costello - Brutal Youth

Peter Gabriel - Peter Gabriel IV (Security)

    Smashing Pumpkins - Siamese Dream

The Flaming Lips - Yoshimi Battles the Pink Robots

Brand New - Your Favorite Weapon

Taking Back Sunday - Tell All Your Friends

Midtown - Forget What You Know

    Mest - Destination Unknown

Bad Religion - Stranger Than Fiction

The Coup - Pick a Bigger Weapon

The Living End - Roll On

  7. So I just received my copy today - pretty much the same deal as everyone else. I got 2 copies of the LP - signed drawing - no lyric sheet though. Also - both the records were warped pretty badly. I haven't had a chance to play it yet because my turntable isn't setup (just moved & had it shipped to my pop's). Has anyone else had a problem with this release being warped? I'm in southern cali and we've had a very mild summer, but I hear the rest of the country hasn't been so lucky so I figure it happened in shipping. Think it's worth emailing the label about? Judging by the entire process and current state of this release, I'm not even sure it's worth emailing about, but it would be nice after all this time to have a record I could listen to.
