  1. I did I did. I thought every copy had it included. I haven't heard anyone mention it missing on the Pearl Jam message board. In addition the the Pearl Jam 7inch they included this:
  2. I just told myself I wasn't going to buy any more records for awhile. I have a serious problem controlling myself. Am I justifying it by saying it will be worth more than I pay for it? Probably not but that is what I tell myself. I need record rehab!!!
  3. Got mine today too but it came from the 10 club. From what I've come to understand from the message board they all have the 7 inch. Mine is torn at the top too but not nearly as bad. It sounds great!
  4. Lets watch ebay a few days after they arrive and call out the flipping scum.
  5. I'm going to just sit around my apt and hope it comes tonight. I'm pretty psyched about it. I was just showing some pics of my trip to the bus to some friends today!
  6. 500 copies! I have to believe it is going to be more than that. Benaroya Hall had 2000 pressed and that thing goes for 450-500 and as much as $650 according to popsike.com. Granted it is a 4 album set. I'm beginning to wonder at what point I would sell Into the Wild. It is going to sound so damn good but....that much coin could finance a very long camping trip on my motorcycle. hmmmm. We will see. Any predictions on the future value of this thing?
  7. auralexploits.com is now sold out of the ones they were allotted. I'm interested in the pressing info on this.
  8. Something stange is going on at the tenclub forum. Someone before me must have posted the link to auralexploits and the thread was deleted. I posted the link to auralexploits again and I have been banned from the forum for three days. For some resaon this is a topic that those who run the tenclub don't want people to know about. Very strange.
  9. Monkeywrench and Vinyl Films Records is proud to announce the release of the limited vinyl version of the soundtrack to the film Into The Wild. The release will be celebrated with an exclusive Ten Club pre-sale beginning January 14th at 10am Pacific. Initially released digitally and in compact disc format, Into The Wild has been recorded on to high-grade audiophile vinyl. The vinyl release includes an extended version of the album track "The Wolf", plus a bonus 7-inch single with both studio and live versions of the track "No More", a 28-page full color booklet with lyrics and exclusive liner notes by Director Sean Penn. This very special and very limited vinyl release will be available only at pearljam.com beginning January 14th, for $20 USD plus shipping, while supplies last. Into The Wild vinyl will be released in stores on January 29th.
  10. http://www.auralexploits.com/ has it for preorder and they say it is the special limited edition version. That is strange to me because the Pearl Jam fan club said it would only be available through them. hmm
  11. This is a fantastic community. I can't believe how folks at this place help each other out. This is going to be a great package. Here is what they said about it: "Initially released digitally and in compact disc format, Into The Wild has been recorded on to high-grade audiophile vinyl. The vinyl release includes an extended version of the album track "The Wolf", plus a bonus 7-inch single with both studio and live versions of the track "No More", a 28-page full color booklet with lyrics and exclusive liner notes by Director Sean Penn." I was online today right at the presale time and was able to get it. Just over an hour later it was gone. I'll keep my eyes open for it at Record Time in Detroit.
  12. It seems there are a few people ahead of me but if someone is going to be at the show and is willing to pick one up for me PM me. Thanks
  13. He could have saved $185 and bought it on cd. It didn't exist. That was why I made the point about it being a rare recording. Came out on vinyl first and wasn't announced that it would be put onto CD until later.
  14. I think a record which contains amazing music that is unavailable anywhere else and is extremely hard to find is worth $400. If it's available on cd for $15 and is pretty blah... I don't think so. That is why my brother bought this album years ago. He couldn't stand the idea of a live Jawbreaker album being out there and not being able to hear it. He couldn't sleep. So to him all those years ago $200 was worth it to him. But now with the internet and people ripping rare stuff to FLAC and putting it on private torrent trackers even the most rare recordings are accessible. That makes much harder to swallow spending big bucks on a record. Killer packaging is what gets me to spend a bit more than usual. The packaging on The Oceans-Precambrian sounds pretty sweet and I can't wait to see pictures of how it turns out.
  15. I agree. Sometimes you gotta know when to throw in the towel. Dropping $400 on a crappy record for the sake of a "complete collection" is ridiculous. Is ANY record really worth $400? If it was the band's finest performance ever and was put together by Mobile Fidelity Sound Lab would you then think it was worth $400? I think we all have different thresholds for the point at which we say "that's ridiculous". I'm cheap so I'm thinking $30 is tops for me. To each his/her own.
  16. Surely you understand the desire to complete a collection. You ARE a member here. Your opinion of the band is noted.
  17. I only got into vinyl in the last year. My Uncle killed my Aunt in a weird murder suicide. I got his turntable and all his records. It's a Philips 212 running through a Denon AVR-3803. Speakers are Polk RT2000s. Didn't have a picture of the speakers but I did find a stock photo.
  18. I saw these pictures and thought it was colored vinyl. Does that mean I've got records on the brain? Eyes: http://www.art-dept.com/artists/rankin/portfolio/specialprojects/eyescapes/portfolio.html?source=20i
  19. Crap. I should have mentioned that I found it while looking for stuff on ebay. This definately leads me to believe it's a lie. This seller mentions it in several auctions. http://item.express.ebay.com/Velvet-Unde....m dZExpressItem
  20. I found this paragraph while looking for albums. It sounds like it is just a lie to make a record seem like demand will increase in the future. Surely this can't be true: BULLETIN: Mymusicfix has been told that the EPA will no longer allow the vinyl industry to produce colored vinyl products because of its lead content. So collectors of colored vinyl pressings need to stay on top of the titles they want to own in colored vinyl because this product will now become some of the rarest collectibles in the vinyl industry.
  21. Saw this on a website I frequent. Thought it might be of interest here. http://collectingvinylrecords.blogspot.com/2007/12/hitler-picture-disc.html
  22. your brother is a lucky man. did he get the jawbreaker record from the label? or did he get it by other means?? $350 easy. Bought it for $200 online years ago. He may change his mind once the day comes that I take it from him so I can sell it for him. Shoot. It's going to kill me to sell it. Sorry for the hijack. Look for it in January.
  23. I've picked a some great tips for ebay selling on this thread. They'll come in handy when I put up some records for my brother who has to get rid of them to afford some things for the new baby. He's got some good stuff. A lot of Jawbreaker including Jawbreaker Live. Note to self. 1. No animations. 2. No scrolling text. 3. No comic sans.
