Count Basie is like Duke Ellington in that he was insanely popular and they released millions of his records. I'm not saying it doesn't have some value. But likely, it's not going to be very much.

I think you're probably in the wrong message board to get any/many detailed, informed responses to your query. I'd take it to the Hoffman forums or a dedicated Jazz forum of some renown.
