Expedit - internal size?
AsleepOnRocks replied to billynomates's topic in Vinyl Collective Message Board
I don't know how big the Joy Division Box is, but my Shades Of The Swarm fits in mine no problem, as do all the other box sets I have. -
anyone want to buy a nice pair of jeans?
AsleepOnRocks replied to sewbr0's topic in Everything Else Message Board
I don't know all that much about it, but i'm fairly certain the "nicer" stuff is all in limited runs, and handmade and whatnot... the closest i get to high-end denim is a pair or two of Diesel's when I can find them for cheap on Ebay. Otherwise it's black Levi's 501's for me. -

Seems like lots of people do this with records, high-end denim is a niche thing just like collecting vinyl is. -
CELESTE - MORTE(S) NEE(S) pre-order
AsleepOnRocks replied to coldsnap's topic in Vinyl Collective Message Board
I'd imagine a handful of copies will show up at Robotic Empire or Vinyl Junkie, but they don't have an actual US Distributor still, which is a terrible bummer. Maybe we could work out a group buy? I'd be willing to helm it, i've done one before that went off pretty well. And i've got a ton of extra mailers sitting around. Unless Denovali would be willing to let their US distro be done out of some bored nerd's condo! How's that sound? I'd do that in a heartbeat! -
I hadn't heard anything about this yet, but Rourke, and Rockwell? I loved the first one, and this one is shaping up to be even better. And, although I agree that Cheadle is a better fit, it always bums me out when there is the same character played by two different people in two different movies.

What are your religious beliefs?
AsleepOnRocks replied to silentgods's topic in Everything Else Message Board
I suggest anyone that hasn't read this book read it. For Atheists, it's a great reaffirmation of your beliefs, for Agnostics, it may just swing you to the "dark" side, and for Christians, it's a great test of your faith. -
The new Sinaloa 1 sided 12" (Clear w/Etched B-Side /100) from Bif Aus Messer, they shipped it on 2/28, so less than a week to get from Germany to Florida, not too bad, i'd say!

Mysterious Universe is amazing. I'm also really partial to The Moth, This American Life, and Smodcast, amongst a few others...

WHOS GOING TO HARVEST OF HOPE!
AsleepOnRocks replied to elephanttttt's topic in Everything Else Message Board
Bands I care about... although my musical taste is generally not in line with 98% of this board's. I think most people aren't going because of the time of year, and because of the apparent clusterfuck that last year's camping and overall weekend was. -

I'm going, but to help out a friend who is working there. Apparently I get "VIP" camping, whatever the hell that means... -
This, not that I cancelled my cable, but that I moved to a new city and didn't even bother hooking it up.

AsleepOnRocks replied to travis's topic in Vinyl Collective Message Board
Just got my HotTopic.com order for the BYO box cancelled, apparently it was out of stock when I ordered it and the nearest Hot Topic to me is ~1 hour away. If anyone is able to snag me one i'd really, really appreciate it. -

Unnecessary? Certainly. That aside, i'd still like a 180g. Just personal preference. -

Netflix Instant Streaming Questions
AsleepOnRocks replied to adamlikesmusic's topic in Everything Else Message Board
Selection is good, studios have some sort of deal with Netflix where there is a certain period of time that has to pass before it is available to them. Not a ton of new movies, but a lot of recent stuff. Not sure about the 360, but if i'm not mistaken there's some sort of fee you have to pay to use it on the 360. Computer & PS3 are free. One more thing, don't sign up for their cheapest package, yeah, it's only like $4.99 a month, but you can only stream a maximum of two hours a month. Bump up to the $8.99 package and it's unlimited.
