But doesn't it take longer to download the movie than get through the pre-dvd stuff? Couldn't you just put in the dvd and go do something else for a few minutes, like pop popcorn? Why would you pop your popcorn, turn out all of the lights, etc, then put in the dvd...seems silly

The decorations are even better than the presents. Sweet punk rock stockings! Allison, that living room looks super cozy, and I dig all the different ornaments. It's a lot of fun collecting new ones over the years. Christmas! Woo!

Also, if you happen to stick around for New Years, head on down to Elgin for Ian's Party. It's a three day musical festival held in local bar venues. Tons of awesome bands (most of them local), and it's about an hour ride on the Metra from Union Station downtown (drops you off across the street from the venues and it's $5 round trip on weekends).

That's a really good fucking list, and I would go to this fest. All I can think of right now off the top of my drunk head is Bear vs. Shark, Since By Man, Colossal, and Strikeforce Diablo.

I feel your pain man. When I moved from one apartment to another in the same building, I was informed that the previous owners had filed for bankruptcy and that included our deposit. That also meant that the deposit on the new apartment was gone as well, so I was out around $1500. When I went to pick up the forms to file for the lawsuit against them, I was pretty much laughed at as they owed so much money to banks, contractors, etc. that my $1500 was just a drop in the bucket. Good luck, and I hope you stick it to these assholes.
