  1. That is exactly what I'm looking for. I've been playing around with the Denon app. I dig it. I've downloaded Accudio but haven't had time to get into it. The other two look pretty interesting. I'll check out BBE right away. Thanx for the leads.
  2. Agreed. That's why I'm looking for a quality EQ app - to get me through until I've saved enough for a new set of cans.
  3. I listen through headphones mostly, not so much the iPhone speakers. I've checked out a few EQ apps, but can tell only a marginal difference with the Apple earbuds.
  4. My digital music is mostly Apple lossless and I play them through an iPhone 4S with stock earbuds. However, I'll soon be buying Monoprice 8323 and 9397.
  5. Those look pretty cool. I'll research them a bit more closely. But, I want something for on-the-go. I checked a few threads over on Head Fi and came across a few EQ apps and headphone-optimizing apps. Interesting.http://www.head-fi.org/newsearch?search=App
  6. I've done quite a bit of research and it looks like, with my budget, I can't do any better than the Monoprice 8323 and the 9397. When payday rolls around next week, I'll be adding to cart.
  7. LOL. As much as I hate animated GIFs, that made me laugh. What I'm looking for is an iOS app that makes my iTunes library sound better. An app with adjustable EQs or an app that does something similar to what a headphone amp does. Is there anything like that out there that you could recommend? I'm trying to get better sound out of my portable/digital music without breaking the bank or having to carry a bunch of additional crap. I'm using an iPhone 4S with the stock earbuds at the moment. However, I'll soon purchase new, better IEMs and over the ear headphones.
  8. Are there any recommendable iOS apps available that amp up your iTunes music? Like a headphone amp app or DAC-type app?
  9. You must work for Monoprice. =) No matter. You've sold me. I'm going to save a bit more and get both. Under $45 shipped straight from Monoprice.
  10. Thinking pretty serious about the Monoprice 8323s. Unfortunately they are pretty ugly. This shouldn't really be a concern, but I'm a graphic designer so aesthetics are important to me - I appreciate well designed products. Any simple physical mods to do? They will be used primarily for home listening, but perhaps the occasional long trip. Or maybe yard work. Ya think these will be too clunky for outside work? I'm wondering if they'll get sweaty and nasty in the heat. Maybe a second set of in ear phones for working? I may be over thinking this.
  11. These actually look pretty interesting. I have a nice cord I could use as a replacement too. Just in case these were too cheap or whatever. I'm intrigued despite the name of the product being Monoprice, lol. Would you recommend these?
  12. I really like the aesthetics of the 681s (with the little splashes of red). The 668s, though, come with a detachable cord. Nice. Thanx!
  13. Saving isn't my strong suit. I have about $50 and I want new cans. That said, I'll check those out. Thanx!
  14. Oh, and I want the new headphones hand delivered by a young Asian girl in a school uniform.
  15. I'm looking for an inexpensive (under $50) pair of over-the-ear headphones. I want decent sound quality, good comfort, NOT bass heavy, no celebrity endorsements. I currently use a vintage set of Pioneer SE-205s. They sound great to my ear, but they are skull crushers (not in a good way). Also, the cord causes a crackly sound when moved too much, so they're showing their age. A friend let me borrow his Sennheiser HD 202. They push way too much bass and barely go over the ear. Closer to on ear. Another guy let me borrow his ATH-M30fs. They're not bad, a little bass heavy, pretty comfortable. These aren't deal breakers, but other things that might be nice: Portability (fold up), detachable cord, long, thick-gauge cord, no "Y" cords. Any suggestions at all would be great. Please and thank you.
  16. $3-4 for shipping on a single record. It's $7 or so when I ship multiples in one package. I cut pretty good deals though - adding only a buck or two to the price of the records. Sometimes less. Hit me up.
