  1. haha touche'

i misspoke, but you know what i mean.  i don't understand the appeal of trading colours

That is all a matter of preference. My roommate bought a copy of Alkaline Trio's "Crimson" on green. Personally, I wouldn't because it doesn't fit the colors of the album art. I waited and luckily found one on white wax. Doesn't sound any different, some people just like that consistency.

  2. I wonder if since this will be released on iTunes if it will still end up on Rdio. I'd really like to buy something but am past the point of the novelty things like gift wrap, and the packages seem expensive. Maybe someone will be able to pick up pressing this soon. Looking forward to hearing this "folky" song though, I hope Tom's "these songs are a career changer" statements aren't just Blink going into full-on AVA territory, though something tells me at least a couple of these songs are going to be old-school.

  3. This EP is really good. Love Ice Age & Trent's explanation "Mariqueen had this melody that would sit quite happily on a Fleetwood Mac record, basically we wanted an acoustic, cold, isolated feel so we took that, built on it, and put it in a freezer." The Loop Closes is my 2nd favorite. Hoping the LP has some more up-tempo stuff like Fur Lined from the first one, though.

  4. Very excited to own all of these Making Moves 7"s

This, though I kind of hope if they put out a box set version after it doesn't come with any extra sweet stuff. I bought all these as they came out figuring the series on its own was special. All of these releases so far have been solid, I'm looking really forward to the MCS one. There was a video they put up before Go came out that was a good minute long clip of a song that didn't end up as a bonus track or anything that I really hope is on this.

  5. I guess this split is only being sold at shows and they're not coming anywhere even remotely close to me, but I'd really like to get my hands on a copy of this. I don't know if anyone's planning on hitting up any of the shows but the dates are here (http://www.altpress....se_tour_exclusi). If anyone could grab an extra copy and ship it to me if they go it would be greatly appreciated. Or if anyone already has an extra they'd be willing to sell throw me a message.

  6. 3x3 just sounds like a ¡Forward, Russia! ripoff.

My first thought is they were trying to write a Muse song. You're right though, it's polarizing. I'm glad for the most part they ditched the electronica but their drummer had a lot more chances to show off on SA. That said I was nervous about pre-ordering this album, setting low expectations definitely helped when I ended up liking most of the album. Octopus is a bit lame, I think the remixes on the Octopus EP are actually better than the original itself.

  7. Got the first 2 and have the 2nd 2 on pre-order. I also picked up a 12" why I ordered this. Interpunk is normally good about orders and I think this Making Movies thing is awesome. So many different sounds. So far The Company We Keep is my favorite but these guys are also good from what I have checked out.

Of the 3 out so far I've played the Brick + Mortar one to death, I really hope those guys put out a full length soon.

  8. According to Armstrong, a song on the album, titled "Kill the DJ", would be close to "straight-up dance music" and "four-on-the-floor rhythm" which the band hasnever done before.

    This sounds promising...

I'm cautiously curious about this, because Blink sort of touched on that with Violence and more of a four-on-the-floor beat with Love is Dangerous. The key word here is "cautiously".

  9. This album reminds me a lot of Even if it Kills Me in that I wasn't too thrilled on it at first, but with each listen at least 1 song grew on me more and more until finally I loved the whole album. Same thing happened with this one, I think my favorites are Happy Anniversary, The Worst is Yet To Come and Circuits and Wires. Everyone Will Die sounds like it was recorded along with So Long, Farewell from My Dinosaur Life (something in the vocals sounds Beatles-esque) and that said, I really enjoy that one too. You can tell in places that this was recorded a year ago when Justin Pierre was also doing stuff with Farewell Continental and nuances were creeping into Motion City.

When it first leaked I was worried they'd written an album I'd end up only liking a couple songs from, it will definitely vary from person to person but it's grown on me fully. I love it.

  10. I haven't been able to get my $64 back either. Guess i'll just have to keep trying.

Same, I've tried a few times and whenever I ask to speak to a manager they end up getting all awkward and coming up with a roundabout way of saying no, tough shit, even when I say I know of other people who have gotten their money back and there's obviously an investigation going on with this account.
