30 years of collecting punk rock records and I'm ready to upgrade to MP3 and make space for new problems in my life. I'll put new punk, hardcore and garage rock related vinyl stuff up every week until I die so bookmark my store and score everything you ever wanted.

Moving is a drag..
And it turns out records don't make a great work desk..
Have some shit to do still but finally getting things together in new pad..

Pretty sure this is the August 1980 Master Sound sessions, some of which (probably the 7 Vampira tracks you mentioned) were issued on the box set demos disc. I don't think these are quite as good of quality as the box set ones but still cool for a big fan probably

I haven't posted a pic in this thread in a while. Here is one of my favorite bands in the last few years (yes it's biased but still)
Where did the red one come from?
-
I've determined that these are the names of the cities the bands that they covered are from.
hahah

Night Birds:
I just made a Grave Mistake order the other day and dude sent a bunch of cool bonus stuff.. One was the CD collection he did of all these things I guess. Never heard em before, this band is rad! Anybody have any of these EPs for trade?
By the way, so cool when labels send extra free shit like that and bonus when it's actually good!

Wicked. I want to track down all the originals I don't have and hear them before I give the (I'm assuming) much shittier NoFX versions.
Yeah most of these are worse but a couple might be equally crappy or good, whichever. After listening a second time I'm thinking some of these probably shouldn't have been messed with at all. Trying to improve on anything from Rat In A Maze is destined for failure if not down-right blasphemous, no matter who you are
Some of the originals are fairly timeless punk rock tracks but some others might not be too interesting if NOFX is all you care about. It sounds like Mike only sings on a couple/few of the tracks anyway so without the fun/unique vocals this a pretty boring release.

Had to register to get in on this. Hello VC. Didn't order this as I don't collect NOFX anymore. Kinda bummed because I really wanna hear it. Now to render my guesses...
Best guess would be Rebel Truth - All I Know off of Charred Remains/Not So Quiet On The Western Front. Also, Rebel Truth had a 7" in '83 and Identity Crysis had a 7" in '87
Yah you're right. Track 8 is 'Child Hosts The Parasite' off that Rebel Truth EP. I listened to it again but that was the only other one that came to me, I'm not sure about 6 and 7.
-
Just listened to it real quick, here's the easy ones:
1. Friend Or Foe -- Agnostic Front
2. IQ32 - Necros
3. Police Brutality - Urban Waste
4. Mental Breakdown - Social Unrest
5. No More Lies - Battalion Of Saints
6.
7.
8.
9. Professional Punk -- Stretch Marks
6-8 sound vaguely familiar but I'll need to play it again later on. Not the best NOFX record I've ever bought but a fun release I s'pose

don't know if anyone's mentioned this
Rancid "Let the Dominoes Fall" COLLECTORS EDITION BOXSET 2xCD and 3LP and Poster and Book and Guitar Picks (previously only available online)
I don't care about the picks and keychains and that shit but kinda wanted that acoustic album on vinyl. Not enough to pay that cost but I was in Portland the other night and a store had it new/sealed for $39 so that seemed pretty decent.

That room looks pretty relaxing
-
yep
7 inch has songs on both sides, the 10 inch is 9 songs on just one side and the pic disc is the same 9 songs on both sides
Mine just came but won't be able to listen til later Took a quick look and run-off various cities on the different versions, presumably the homes of the bands they're covering.
7" has on either side:
QUEENS NEW YORK CITY
LOS ANGELES MAUMEE
* Maumee has to be a Necros song
10" has on the pressed side:
SAN DIEGO SACRAMENTO
* San Diego is probably the BoS track that was on the BYO comp a while back. Seems like there were a bunch of punk rock bands from Sacto in the 80s but the only one that comes immediately to mind that had an actual release was Tales Of Terror but I can't really imagine NOFX doing one of their songs.
12" picdisc looks like same stamper for both sides and has:
SAN FRANCISCO WINNIPEG
* Hopefully they chose something cool from SF like the Fuck UPs or Sick Pleasure or something like that. I forget what Canada bands were from where but reckon that one has to be DOA, Subhumans or SNFU. Seems like somebody said something about Stretchmarks at one point so I guess it could be that but they weren't all that great so I dunno.
I'll listen later this afternoon and post what I recognize if nobody else does first
