  1. A lot of people on here also have kids.

Things like this make it easier and more fun to share their love of collecting with their children.

There are a lot of factors but at the end of the day, Disney means something to nearly every one. At 21 years old with no children, I would absolutely put on the Little Mermaid Soundtrack and sing along.

    Why? Because I enjoy it.

Also worth noting that just because people enjoy one genre of music in particular, it doesn't limit their musical tastes. You can enjoy hardcore and punk music but still also love some good 'ol Disney songs.

Exactly. I would love to own most Disney movie soundtracks on vinyl if I could, and would probably listen to them more regularly than some other records. I also visit Disneyland over 150 times a year so I'm in a fringe group for sure, but I enjoy it... doesn't mean I don't love me some good (shitty) pop punk or anything like that.

  2. I mean, isn't the Lion King soundtrack mostly Elton John/Tim Rice? That's fine, I wouldn't choose to listen to that stuff but since when has Elton John, for instance, been so relevant in the vinyl collector world?

uh... Elton John was pressed onto vinyl way before this supposed "vinyl collector world". Not trying to be a dick, but this just sounded silly.

Also, Hot Topic is going through a huge Disney boom right now. Walk into any Hot Topic store and the entire front part of the store is easily half disney... it's selling very well. This is just the next step. Also, Disney has had a picture disc line before these Hot Topic exclusives... Cinderella, Pinocchio, Snow White and some others have all received picture disc versions that were not Hot Topic exclusives and are readily available.

Lastly, what is so wrong about this? The only valid arguments I have read so far have been price, which is justified. Hating on Disney for pressing these and Hot Topic for providing a retail outlet for them though? Why does this site now get mad when a record is being pressed... isn't the whole idea for this site to have a shared community of people who love collecting records?

  3. I definitely see what you're saying, but I think it just comes down to how the writers work. Bryan could take the title at Mania and lead to a "Summer of Goat" or something like that, and it could be a fantastic time. Bryan has gotten substantially more charismatic on the mic since he's gotten the push with Kane as Tag Champs. The difference between Ryback and Cesaro is that Ryback got a huge push and flopped. Kids weren't into it as much as expected, and adults chanted Goldberg every time he stepped into the ring. Not to mention, they wrote his storyline terribly. He was thrown into the title picture with Punk, where he was destined to lose because you can't have a newcomer end the longest WWE title reign in the last 20? years. Since Cesaro is already established as a former champion, indie legend, and all around freak of power, it's more likely that he can work in the title picture better than the poorly written and premature Ryback campaign. Especially since, if Bryan was to take the title, it could open the floodgate for new challengers after he's done with Orton and Batista. The timing of the Real Americans break up seems perfect for Cesaro to make a serious attempt at the belt. As for Ziggler, that's just a sad situation. Dude gets couple concussions and gets written off ENTIRELY. I love watching Ziggler, and his energy is great. But, Jesus Christ, can someone on the modern roster learn how to properly take the Fame-asser? Every time Dolph goes for it, he either overshoots it or his opponent (see most recent example: Del Rio on Smackdown this past Friday) undersells/doesn't react properly.

Would love to hear other people's thoughts on these topics, as well. It's been a while since I've had a good discussion about the WWE.

I agree the Summer of Bryan (GOAT) could be amazing, but what then... It wasn't too long ago he was the World's Strongest Vegan who was buried in like 6 seconds to open Wrestlemania. Granted they have done an amazing job recently (starting with Kane) but up to that point, he was an average mid carder (who should have been a main eventer). To me, their problems really came to light the second they unified the titles because now people who are fighting to be at the main event status have nothing to fight for... the World Heavyweight Championship was a stepping stone (sad to say) to the WWE championship... with them combined and Orton plus (insert part timer here) fighting over it, it makes the rest of their talent have nothing to fight for. We're really fucked if they unify the USA and Intercontinental because neither of those really hold value anymore (at least recently). They need something for their mid level to fight for in order to stay relevant so people don't just tune them out. Internet fans will always watch the MidCard and ridicule their lack of use, but in order for them to sell merchandise and make the WWE money, they need something to strive for and for the first time in a long time, there is nothing...

CM Punk got out at the right time, which is sad because he was one of the primary reasons I watched wrestling. I will admit to not being a long time fan (only recently got into it 3 years back) and I am definately not the most knowledgable, but Punk MADE me want to watch the show in the same way that Bryan is MAKING me want to watch it now. Bryan doesn't have the same allure as Punk did primarily because he won't stand up for himself the way Punk did... but in the end, that is his demise as well.

I don't know... Wrestlemania 30 will make or break a lot of fans.

    P.s. Fantasy booking time:

After D Bry beats Tripple H in the opening match of WM30, he gets inserted into the title match. After he is getting seriously worked (as heroes do) and is about to gain momentum, Kane and Triple H come out to interfere... cut to CM Punk's music where he either A) fights back or B) Pipe Bombs mania, either of which distract everyone except Bryan, who comes in for the win. Could you imagine the crowd pop with Yes chants as CM Punk lifts Bryans hand into the air holding both belts?

  4. My thoughts exactly. At first, I considered giving up on watching, but now that Bryan is getting a chance at Mania, and Cesaro seems in line for a push, I'll stick around.

My only problem is the D Bry thing seems like its doing well now, but what happens when that ends? Ziggler isn't gettin a push anytime soon... Cesaro is getting noticed but even Ryback got a bigger push and look at where he is now... The shield breaking up (supposedly) creates more of a chance to bury 1 or 2 of the 3 guys, which then we lose as well. CM Punk was the only guy we all loved and respected that made it to the "top" and stayed at the top. With him gone, I don't know if the WWE will put anyone else like that in the same position again....

  5. Just bought the Rancor Pit from the Star Wars lego set. Amazing. I want the Death Star. We should set up a lego borrow system. Trade sets, build them, then send them back. I just like building shit. Haha. I have a lego store near me at Downtown Disney, I get 10% off for having a Disney pass. Might be 20% but I'm pretty sure it's only 10.

It's 10%. What is nice though is the slightly lower tax (8.75%) as opposed LA (9+%), but not by much!

Also, hot topic has two lego movie shirts. One has emmet and says "everything is awesome" and the other has Benny and says "spaceship".

  6. So who do they want on top of the company? CM Punk or Daniel Bryan?

All of this seems like a bunch of crap. If these people are really that upset then paying money to go be annoying doesn't really make sense... I just wonder why at a certain point people just stop paying for a product. No one is forcing them to pay, watch, or go to these things. I understand wanting something but this just seems so stupid. But hell what do I know

Agreed... The easiest way to hurt them is to stop watching and buying into things. Sales drives this company (duh) and biggest way to make a point is to impact their sales. Personally, if they can get people to turn around while the authority/orton/batista are out, this is a huge achievement that will make a huge point, but it won't impact much in the long run.

I'll be printing these in a little bit, I'll let you guys know when I'm accepting orders :D

They will be on AA shirts and be featured in black and cranberry colors (this is just a rough mock from a crappy website, I will be finalizing the design sometime next week and then taking it to the local apparel shop sometime next.) I'll have an estimated price then :P

PS - sry my internet pooped out on me trying to get the new Crying EP thingy off BC so here is a double post :( is anyone else having an issue w/ BC now?

Count me in for 1! #hipster4mod

  8. Tonight's match will undoubtedly produce good results, even if it's only in the 6 man tag match. Cena and cesaro set the bar, but this has MOTY potential written all over it.

    Sorry.. Outcomes.

Results yes. I think this may be one of the best Elimination chambes and that 6 man tag match makes me salivate, but my brother playing in  his first hockey championship has more meaning. I'll just read about it and catch it on the network later.

In regards to the 4-6 weeks, thats probably because that's when the DVD will come out.

  9. I haven't seen anything official, but a lot of Internet hearsay that the chamber won't be available for a few weeks. Which makes sense, otherwise they'd pretty much be giving this one away.

well way to rain on my parade!

    ;)

The only way tonights PPV would generate good results is if Lesnar showed up and beat the hell out of Batista, cauing Batista to put his title match on hold to go after Lesnar.
