  2. I think Hot Water Music
*COALESCE*i think anything on no idea is close to impossible. look at coalesce, against me, etc. absurd colors and presses. i am currently working with sean ingram from coalesce on the vinyl page for crashandbang.com, the coalesce fansite. i talked to him for a couple hours about the different presses, colors and numbers and we came to the conclusion that nobody on earth, and i mean NOBODY, even sean, stacy, nathan, jess, james, jr. will ever have all the vinyl released and it's their band. no idea does ridiculous presses. some of the odd shapes for "last call for the living" are limited to 1 COPY. WHAT THE FUCK. so i think coalesce is impossible. you can't find those records anymore, but for the record, i love no idea records a whole fuckin' bunch
  3. I did a search and didn't see a thread exclusively directed towards this. I am curious what a copy of HRP on black 1st press goes for. Sorry if this is the wrong forum to ask in, but I didn't want to put it in the trades forum as I don't think I'm ready to sell my copy yet, just curiousity.

it varies bro, it all depends on who wants it at a certain time. i have a small distro in cincinnati and i can tell you i had 5 copies of this at one time and they all sold for a drastically different price. the 5 different copies sold for $6.50, $9.25, $2.50, $21.85 and $88.50. fuckin weird.
  4. re-issues don't matter to me. i have 104 different coalesce records, some re-issues, but they are my favorite band of all time so they can keep putting them out and i'll keep buying them. it all depends on much you care about vinyl and/or the band to me. i don't think it effects value you though. all of us on this site are vinyl geeks and most of us are collectors and i know that a re-issue doesn't matter to most of us. if we love a band as much as we say we do, we will buy everything.

  5. i think you should go balls out for this one. take one lp and do something wicked with it. example, the crimson curse had insect inlays on one of their lps, so i'm thinking, take the bullets on the cover and make them inlays. the vinyl color could be either, white marble, green/white marble or re/white marble. the original packaging for this record had a red cover and an alternate green cover, which ended up being the rarer of the two. the re-issue had a guy with an axe. make the record with the bullet inlays the rarer of the three. split them up like vinyl w/inlays 100 copies-green/white marble 400 copies and red/white marble 500 copies.an even 1,000 pressed and one being a vinyl collector's wet dream. colors in mind would be a green/white swirl with the white bursting from the inside out and a red/white with the red bursting from the inside out. just paying tribute to the original packaging.
