Maybe they were. But they made it sound like their site was the only place to score them.

Yup my copy came today. I agree on the sound. Wonder how many limited white vinyl their were. It doesn't say white on their website anymore.

I compared the new copy from Soundstage Direct to my original copies. The epic logo on the back of the outer is different. The label on my new copy is very faded and the numbers in wax are different.

Did anyone get theirs yet or know what the deal is? I ordered one and haven't heard a thing

Is there any way to get someone from Sony to explain what the real deal is with these things? I mean, I know they're an identical re-press, but the whole release has just been so mysterious and weird. No announcement, only a few places have them, stock runs out quickly then returns, know what I mean? I agree

I have a sealed copy of Big Star Third. It could be one of the original test pressing's. I am toying with trading it. I would trade it for a nice copy of Modest Mouse - This is a Long Drive with Nothing to Think About

I'm not sure. I think Urban Outfitters sometimes buys vinyl just because the cover art is cool. The cover art for Ride's Nowhere is embossed and very cool, it would sure look good in those album-sized picture frames that UO started selling long before they carried actual vinyl. Doesn't hurt that its an amazing record

Its pretty weird. Some record stores are claiming they are old stock that was found.

I am looking for Nirvana or Pink FLoyd and I have Tron, Phish, And Mike Gordon the Moss Remixes to trade. I may have an extra White Stripes and Velvet Underground as well.

So I guess we can assume they printed more? Or found a ton in a warehouse somewhere?

I don't think anyone knows whats going on? I ordered 1 from amazon and 1 from Soundstage direct so I will be able to tell if they are different in anyway

I spoke with someone at Soundstage. They said someone sent them a box. he thought it was old stock but he also said it was technically never out of print. So who knows what is going on
