  1. In 1992 the Melvins’ fascination / adoration / denigration of the mighty KISS rock and roll universe compelled them to excrete out three solo masterworks inspired by the KISS solo LPs. The first in the series is King Buzzo, from the Melvins’ giggling guitar grumpus. Four songs of atmospheric clanging and rockin’ banging. Also features the many talents, drumming and otherwise, of a famous Grunge™ superstar, whose name sort of rhymes with New Wave Asshole. The second in the series is Dale Crover, from the Melvins’ sleepy drum caveman. Four songs of gloomy heaviness, with Dale doin’ the drummin’, singin’, guitarin’, and dancin’. The third in the series is Joe Preston, from the Melvins’ electronic beard warlord. Three songs of fuzz bass computer drone temper tantrum. All three 12-inches reissued on vinyl after 100,000 years out of print.

  2. Looking to buy PJ Harvey ‎- Stories From The City, Stories From The Sea. I waited too long to pick up the boot of this. Anyone willing to part with it for a decent price?

Also want Is this Desire? but that may be a harder find.

    Thanks

  3. Surprise!

Lost and Gone Forever (1999) comes out on vinyl today (2016) — why it took 17 years to reach this point, we do not know. We do know that it looks and sounds awesome, and starting side two with “All The Way Up To Heaven” just makes good sense. The LP’s artwork really shines in 12 X 12 form, like the kid is not just about to smash a broken piano with his boulder, but perhaps my face as well. These things don’t fit into stockings, but they make great under-the-tree / propped-carefully-against-a-menorah gifts. Order by December 19th to ensure timely holiday delivery.

Lost & Gone Forever is the simplest and perhaps most seminal Guster album. Recorded over a few weeks in 1999 with Steve Lillywhite, the band’s original instrumentation was embellished with just a few subtle choices. It’s an honor to hold this record in our hands!

Both the Slime Green (limited to 200) and Black 180g variants are available now at the Guster online merch store.
