That's just silly, especially because Keep This to Yourself was better
A-fucking-men, brother.

Since I couldn't justify the prices for my budget, I had my mom get both records for me for my birthday. Score! Can't wait to finally hear endserenading on my turntable!
-
Got the /200 with the letterpress to go with my other two previous ones of theirs. Media Mail was $5.17 to MI for me. Seems like their shipping prices are ALL over the place. Sorry to those who got ripped off.

I read this "PO: Tuesday..." meaning a new release by the band Tuesday. Bummer.
Me three. I was incredulous. After it was the record that introduced me to the "emo" sound in 1997, I finally scored myself a copy of Freewheelin' on wax a couple months ago. It's no masterpiece but I still thoroughly enjoy that record.
-
Ooh la la! Have you guys heard the one (that I know of) new song they've played live?
-
I was going to wait until my record got here to listen to this for the first time, but with my stereo out of commision for awhile I've decided to listen to this while I'm at work tonight. Pretty excited. I bought Ships on a whim a few years ago and was blown away. Picked up "You Can Just Leave it All" almost immediately.
I assume by now you've shit your pants, sir. I know I did. This record is so good it took half a tub of baby wipes to clean me up afterward.

So glad I didn't sell my OG. I had doubts it would even happen this year. But are we going by the school calendar, whereby he has less than two weeks or the wall calendar that says he has a month still to say it was put up for sale in the summer?

I love Let It Out. Waterways in New England is one of my favorite songs by them. Just wish that sweet solo at the end didn't simply just fade out.
Yeah that's such an odd/cool moment in their catalog and it's almost like it never happened because it's barely there and then it's gone. And they've never done anything similar as far as solos since then that I can think of.

Putting up the preorder before putting out a full song is a calculated move. Based on the couple demos I've heard (not trying to be "that guy" but it happened), they're continuing to stretch their sound. I don't really want to state my opinion on what I heard or say any more because a) I've liked 5-6 songs since KTTY so my opinion wouldn't be relevant to anyone here but Mr Castaway, and I love these guys to death and don't want to away anybody either way. Just know to expect something "different" in the way that every Transit record has been different from the last (well, with the exception of Let It Out to TWNDU, but I doubt most of you could give two shits about those records).
All that said, I do find them selling via DL and saying "courtesy of" awfully curious as well.

Mine arrived safely, fits fine, and has barely noticeable imperfections as well. All in all, I'd call it a smashing win. Can't wait to get verbally abused by Lions fans for wearing it.

Hadn't checked the thread for a few days. Man, that's so awesome that they came in already. I'm very encouraged by how good everything looks so far. I might end up going for a Kiko Alonso on the next buy. Thanks again, Will, for all your efforts on this. You're a good man, and thorough.

I've never been more glad to have an empty inbox. That would've been soul crushing since they only have one type of Bruce jersey. Thanks for the update.

What's the problem with them? I wouldn't care if Run Forver didn't sign to them.
Give these a read when you have some time.

I think 6131 Records would be perfect. They have the ethics and customer service that's most on par with MTS.
Edit: I probably shouldn't have said the other thing I said.

Just sent Will the dough. Huge thanks to him for coordinating this order and letting me slide in at the last minute, to everybody else who ordered so we get the free shipping, and to mattsteelenj for giving us all the original heads up on this whole thing. In 1994 I my dad special ordered a Bruce Smith jersey for me for my birthday from our local memorabilia shop but the owner fucked everything up and long story short, I never got my jersey. Now, 20 years later my dream of representing (arguably, and believe me I'll argue) the baddest man to ever flatten a QB will come true. And to top it off, a buddy already bought tickets for the Lions/Bills game on 10/5 (been a Michigander my whole life but became a die-hard Bills fan in '92...I enjoy disappointment apparently) so I will be rocking this jersey to the game along with the Bills luchador mask I got off eBay. Me wearing the mask and embarrassing myself (I'm not a center-of-attention guy) was a prerequisite for him buying the tickets. Should be a great time.
Now, let us revel in His greatness for a moment.

I can't believe I forgot to check this thread for a couple months, and naturally you're finalizing things for a full order. If there's anyone who wants to back out partially or fully I would LOVE to get one of these in a Large.
If not, please make me the first guy in on the next order. Thanks.

Their bassist bailed out sometime in the last 9 months, after the album came out. So it's not like that's how they really would prefer to play. I already said all this before a few pages back, but I'm not sure if they're actively trying to fill the position or not.saw these guys a month or two back and they completely blew me away...it's a shame they were so low on the bill even on a DIY venue
also, strange and worth pointing out that they played without a bass player and used a digital track instead...first time i've seen that haha

In case anyone else is waiting on their 2nd press copy, I got an email back from Will stating they're supposed to ship next week. They were supposed to ship last month sometime but got delayed a bit. Can't wait to see that starburst and finally get to listen to this incredible album on the turntable!

I'm with you on this these days. My Transit-related equation goes:Some controversial choices in here already. Hated Transit - loved Misser = Misser>Transit
Pre-L&F Transit > Doc Browne > Misser >>>> post-KTTY Transit/Long Lost
For those who don't know, http://docbrowne.bandcamp.com is drummer Daniel Frazier's "side project".

Skip Sever Your Roots unless you dig prog-rock. Otherwise head straight to Commitment for something that will leave an impact on your brain, and follow it up with the Thought Control EP.
I love how cwhit & I so often dig the same bands but have total opposite opinions on preferred albums.

Here's my video of last Friday's set. The video isn't great but I think you'll get the idea of how flawless they are live. Before anybody asks, no, their is no bassist, Their bassist bailed a few months ago, and they're using a backing track for now. I'm not sure if they even intend to replace him. Anyway, enjoy!

Forgot about this, picked it up from the band a while ago.
Speaking of Lions, they just announced a tour with Big Awesome today!

That is really going to be a bad ass tour. A cross-state trip to K-zoo on a weeknight is tough but so is missing it.

Bump because the Lions track is SO god damn good and this is near sold out. Looks like the label is sold out but the band still has a few left. Don't sleep. Price is a little high due to the importing and higher production cost for the /100 run.

Holy crap, kids. We're in for a real treat in a month. The 3 songs I've heard so far are exceeding already lofty expectations.
