  1. Recently arrived were 2 of the Dave Bazan Christmas 7s, which were total bargains. On order is Thee Headcoatees (I'm guessing this one's out of stock at the distro...been a while), Dr Frank's Andromeda Klein 7, The Mummies and Kitty, Daisy and Lewis. Should be a good week of post.
  2. I used to live in a 3-bed flat with a couple guys that I didn't know before I moved in. My bedroom was between their rooms, and they both loved Dream Theater. I spent a year listening to Dream Theater in a kind of living out-of-sync stereo at all hours. Misery.
  3. Oh boy, great thread. I feel like a lot of these guys need to take a look at their SEO, as I always struggle to find anything when I search. But, this thread has sorted me out nicely. Props for: Interpunk (paying import duties is part of life, I guess, and their catalogue is all but unbeatable) Polyvinyl (always quick, friendly, often enclose cute free stuff, altho not as much as they used to...I remember once I got a bunch of candy and a toy soldier...) Norman Records (site's a little bland and clunky, but service is basically exceptional, and a great catalogue) Jealous Butcher (order has only just shipped but I emailed them because I'd put the wrong shipping address, and they said they'd change it for me, then they plum forgot, but they were totally neat about it and even offered to send another out right away. Niceness.) Badwise, not really had any. As previously mentioned somewhere on this thread, selling vinyl online tends to be done by passionate committed people who know the kind of service and quality that people want and expect, and know that providing it will keep them in business and buy them repeat custom. Which is great, because not a lot of other products seem to inspire that level of commitment any more.
  4. Real name: Nic Favorite Bands: Too many to give a snapshot of, but recently spinning have included The Micragirls, The Lillingtons, Kitty, Daisy and Lewis, NOBUNNY, Mr T Experience, Dan Sartain, David Bazan/Pedro the Lion, Owen. My ambition is to own the world's greatest collection of songs about sex. I like rock and roll, and I like dirge, and I like a lot in between. What's your Facebook/Twitter/Tumblr etc.?: I haven't the foggiest. Hobbies (outside of record collecting): As part of work I've been teaching myself rudimentary HTML, which I enjoy. I like pretty much anything about the internet, I like comic books and I like my astonishingly cool friends. I like to drink beer and speak only if it will probably be funny. I'm nuts about television, and I like Sherlock Holmes. I love rock and roll, and pop punk. I like to dance, although the results are mostly laughable. I like vocabulary. I like reading. Random things you want us to know about you: I live in the UK, in a small town. It sucks that I could probably live in the ass-end of nowhere in the States and still get better gig options that we ever do over here (in that I lived 40 minutes from London for 3 years and that was the best it got). I'm a total Americanophile. I totally dig cooking for large groups of people - ie, showing up at people's houses unbidden with 40 meatballs and making people eat them while I watch. A large portion of my day is spent attempting to fold myself in half along my vertical axis, as I feel this will somehow solve my problems, varied and exceptionally sundry. It would at least look funky and make a super-cool noise, probably.
