  1. My station is on the smaller side and our responce time is generally faster than most. But if we are busy and someone gets out to start it, I'll figure out if they are an asshole or not; if they are I'll lay down the law just for fun. Ahh, I could write a book from working there...

The mugs came just in time as I had just broken my favorite one not long ago. They look great.

  2. I've noticed lots of "ripoffs" from Bob Dylan. He has a song called It's Alright Ma (I'm Only Bleeding), and Gaslight has a song that goes like this:

    It's all right, man.

    I'm only bleeding, man.

    Stay hungry, stay free,

And do the best you can.

And apparently The Gaslight was a venue that Bob Dylan used to play at.

But I see it more as an homage than a ripoff.

they mention this in an interview, so probably not a ripoff...

Also, check out Dylan's song Subterranean Homesick Blues and then listen to Gaslight's Angry Johnny and the Radio. I think it's awesome but I guess some people think "Bobby does it better."

Listen to We Came to Dance, and then Springsteen's Thundercrack. Might find something there There's a ton more but I'm tired.

  3. Vinyl nerds...in process of repressing Loved Ones, Strike Anywhere To Live In Discontent, Bouncing Souls Gold Record, and Off With Their Heads/Measure split...limited stock remaining of original first pressings but don't wait too long as we are almost out!

Hopefully the repress for the Gold Record isn't a picture disc.

  4. The acoustic set was at the Court Tavern in New Brunswick. Pretty small place but has had legendary shows for a long long time now. There was maybe like 30-40 people there when Brian played. About 15-20 people were singin' along and such. Expected a bit more people there myself. It was a lotta fun, and really laid back.

  5. So this weekend was nothing short of amazing. Saturday Brian Fallon did an acoustic set of Sink or Swim straight through (messed up a little but that's ok) and two songs from Senor/Queen. There five videos up on youtube but they are kinda dark. The audio is great and the guy who filmed them separated the audio. Figured a few people here would be interested.

Then Sunday the "secret" show was absolutely ridiculous. Second time hearing the new song; can't wait to hear that fuckin record! They played just about every song they have. Can't even describe it...
