  2. --bump-- Just called paypal and talked to an awesome guy. Heres the deal.... Everyone that paid Mightier Than Sword Records through PayPal (whether you called or not) you need to follow these steps to open a case. 1) Log into your Paypal Account. 2) Go to "My Recent Activity" and find your Payment to MTS. 3) Click "Details" 4) Find your "Unique Transaction ID #" and copy it 5) Click on "Resolution Center" 6) Click on "Dispute a Transaction" 7) Click on "Item Dispute" 8) Paste your "Unique Transaction ID #" in the box provided 9) Click on "I Haven't Received my Item" 10) Category "Entertainment Related Goods" 11) Enter a Message about the case OR copy this one "I purchased records from Mightier Than Sword Records on (Date of Your Purchase). The sale was for pre-order items that were supposed to ship in September of 2011. Mightier Than Sword Records then stated they could not ship the items until December. Once that date passed they said they could not ship until February. Once that date passed they said they could not ship until April 10th. It is now April 16 2012 and i still do not have the records i ordered over 9 months ago. I have tried to contact the seller multiple times and he has not responded" 12) Click "Continue" The case will close automatically because it is passed the 45 day time period. Although it says closed it still shows up as a red flag in the paypal system. I was told if more then 15 people do this paypal will file an investigation because they must have a "really good reason" to re-open a case after 45 days i was told. I'm sure most of you know how to do this but just incase you dont.
  3. I would absolutely love to have this record as well. Its a great idea. but thats basically all it will ever be...an idea.

  5. Filed with BBB, IC3, and NYC DCA. NYC DCA emailed back asking for documents pertaining to the dispute. Sent them some screen shots of emails and payment through paypal will wait and see what they say.
  6. just called paypal and they told me to just open a dispute the normal way through the resolution center online. They said although it says case closed they still review it.
  7. "Some Guy" does not count as a source. Paypal told me today that they will in no uncertain terms open a case for me. They said without an investigation by ic3 finding MTS at fault they will not cease his account nor will they act against him since the 45 day window expired. If "Some Guy" wants to step forward with better information please do so. dude honestly chill out.. http://blink-182collection.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=generaldiscussion&action=display&thread=1841
  8. Some guy posted this "Hello, i am starting this thread so everyone who has purchased the TOYPAJ record from MTS can see what our options for recouping our money is. I am assuming most of us paid with paypal and therefore if the payment was over 45 days old we can not get out money back right away. BUT, what we can do is each call paypal ourselves and tell them: -your name -the amount of transaction -the date of transaction -That is has not been received yet -that all emails are being ignored -and his contact info has been deleted from facebook and twitter the number i was given are: 1-402-935-2050 ( you can also find the numbers if you log into your paypal account and go into the resolution centre and click the contact us button) or send them an email with all the details I was told by a paypal representative that if there are 5+ cases opened against a seller it will automatically be reopened no matter if its over 45 days or not. And that in most cases if there are multiple files opened against a person that it is decided in the favour of the buyer. PLEASE GUYS LETS GET TOGETHER AND ALL FILE A CASE! FUCK R.J. LETS GET OUR MONEY BACK!!!!"
  9. I just got word that if 5 people call the PayPal resolution center and file a dispute against mightier than sword records by phone that they will re open the case even though the 45 day time period has past. It's worth a shot
  10. Please make a documentary about this whole ordeal. Interview the band members he's worked with, buddy, the people at src etc.... Would be epic and i bet some people on here would buy it. Set up a kickstarter and im in. Btw- Has anyone tried to file a claim with the NY BBB? There's more then enough documentation and im sure we can all get our money back that way, if all else fails. BBB wont do anything. heres the site you need to use..... http://www.nyc.gov/html/dca/html/contact/contact_form.shtml

  12. I checked this thread this morning and returned from work and its six pages longer. pure awesome
  13. shipping in 3 days...........................
  14. from my understanding by signing up today april 3rd you are paying to be a GOLD member for the next 90 days. so until july 3rd.
  15. The last time they did a picture disc it shipped three months after the end of the subscription. Because they don't press them until June 30th. So we're looking at a ship date around August or September
  16. I wouldn't say total BS, two albums on 2x12" 180g would usually be $40 or so, shirts are normally $15-20, even without the very limited shit you'll get on Modlife it equates to about $60. some 2xlp 180 gram records go for $25-30+ so its not too bad.
