My moustache is only dangerous to small children prone to crying from fear, but the 7"s would be sweet.
-
Cool. I'm seeing them in 2 weeks, hopefully they still have some left.
-
Anything I can find at a local shop I'll get there (i.e. more mainstream titles). But a lot of the stuff I listen to local store's don't carry and since it is so easy to get it direct from the source (band or label), I'll order it from them online.
I'll only use eBay or Discogs for OOP titles which I can't get from the other options I mentioned.

Haha, you saw that too.
One of the few EODM/QOTSA items I'm missing, but in no way is it worth that much.
Any chance you also post on RekRek?
I actually do not post on RekRek. I registered twice and I was never given the verification to post. Have no clue why.
There used to be bots flooding the forum with ads for Nikes and whatnot so they shut down registration and I don't think it ever opened again. There haven't been new members in years.

This is beyond ridiculous. This is definitely a rare 7 but I've never seen one sell for more than $20-$30. Oh well, I'll find one sometime (and if anyone here has one to get rid of, get at me).

Probably want more than I'd spend, but would you mind posting some photos? I'm just curious. Thanks

Link please?
Wait a minute. Are they red?
It was from Juno Records (google it). But they are sold out, I got the last two copies. A friend actually placed an order 20 minutes before I did, but for some reason his was cancelled for being out of stock and mine went through.
And yes they are red, the red ones are numbered, the black ones aren't.

Got two copies in the mail Monday from Juno in the UK. Ended up paying $35 USD each with shipping to Canada. One of the better prices I think I've seen online. #s 209 and 225.

Knew I should have set a reminder on my phone. Got caught up at work and completely forgot. Oh well, I would have only bought the Arkells test pressing and can probably find somewhere else to spend the $30. Thanks for the notice and for doing this though, wish more labels would (and if they do, I wish I knew about them).

Queens of the Stone Age - Just need an original S/T (one colour will do) and the Fun Machine 7". They'll likely take winning the lottery (which I never play).
-
Any old Arkells stuff lying around?
-
No word at the moment, but I imagine it is somewhere down the pipeline. But to be honest, I'd much rather get some new music from them over re-issues of originals I already have.

I thought this was available now and wasn't a PO anymore or did I misread or is the red still a PO?
Reds have been delivered, numbered to 1000. Blacks just pressed, starting to be shipped out. Blacks aren't numbered.

how much are you guys paying for this from the sellers in the UK?
Waiting for an answer back regarding buying wholesale and selling via my webstore so anyone else who may be interested hold tight. I am prob just gonna buy 10 or so depending on the unit price
If you do get some, would you mind holding 3 to sell to my friends and I in Toronto? We are all waiting to find the best price on these things and are hoping to have them all shipped together to save a bit.
EDIT: Scratch that, found it online for a decent enough price shipped.

Glad I checked in tonight. Got one. Thanks.

Well, the 7" wasn't up on Kemado, but it was up on the Uncle Acid site. The point remains, it was available for a very short period online, and I didn't get one.
-
You are all awfully concerned about how others spend their money.
-
The label wouldn't be passing anything onto the customer besides the opportunity to own a record that otherwise wouldn't be pressed. Please explain to me, how is that a bad thing?
i just did explain that, but i shall reiterate for you:
paying $20 for a record vs $13 is a bad thing because that's a huge price hike for the customer, based on you assuming that the records won't sell.
so really, you're just exploiting those 100 people you know will buy the record regardless of the price.
basic supply and demand is not exploitation. if 100 people are comfortable paying $20 for a record, they are not being exploited.
-
If no one is going to the shows, did anyone pick up a spare copy from Kemado when they were on sale last week? Thanks
-
Hey

You also have to send an invoice once someone decides to purchase something so it's not as instant as buying something on eBay.
Is this "invoice" something provided directly by Discogs? I suppose you don't have to be a registered company in order to sell something.
The invoicing is very informal. Once someone places an order, Discogs emails you the details. You then have to "invoice" the customer by emailing them back and saying "Here is the total plus shipping. Please send to [email protected] via PayPal".

Can you let me know which exact versions of Arcade Fire - Power Out, DFA79 - Black History Month, and The Raconteurs - Steady As She Goes you have? They all have multiple versions. Thanks.
The strangest place you've ever seen a band logo.

In The IT Crowd, there are at least 2 My Morning Jacket posters in their office (along with some Flying Spaghetti Monsters). Tried to find a photo online, but there wasn't much.
