  1. I'm flipping some records on eBay right now.

What happened was I spent a day going record shopping on Saturday. On Sunday, I spilled water over my wife's laptop, and now need to buy her a new computer. So I decided to list the new records I bought (not too attached to them). But I want letting go of these to be worth it. The starting bid is half their actual value.. but I paid much less. So everyone wins. Except the computer. But she gets a new one.

Do you have homeowners or renter's insurance? That might cover the spill minus your deductible...

  2. There's a musician from NOLA called Louis Villery who was involved with a few bands. He formed this group called African Music Machine and laid down one of the funkiest NOLA tracks I've ever heard. And I found this clean 45 for super cheap:

I picked up their record "Black Water Gold" at a record store in Boston based solely on the cover. SUCH a good record.

  3. There was a new RTJ2 press that is apparently on yellow/gold. It was up for order on the daylight curfew site this weekend, but now I can't find it. Wonder if it sold out or just got pulled?

There's an RTJ1 Repress up for pre-order on Urban Outfitters' site. It's on gold, but they're using the wrong cover photo on the page

  4. Consider me ignorant, but where do most people buy these records?

Is there a website or store that specializes in selling them?

I'm wondering because I would have loved to grab the Coraline or Boxtrolls records for my daughter.

And I've been looking for the Guardians deluxe vinyl.

    Thanks for any info!

I have a copy of Coraline on black vinyl if you're looking for one. I opened it just to check the color, haven't played it and am willing to sell it for less than cost if you want to PM me.

  5. I inherited a coin collection. The only one I've had professionally checked out (but not officially graded) is an American 1787 1 over lazy 1 Fugio coin. Depending on official grading, worth anywhere from $1,000-$5,000. I don't plan on selling it anytime soon. Apparently it was designed by Benjamin Franklin, and the reverse side of the coin says "Mind Your Business" I am REALLY stoked on owning this coin.
