IS IT AS GOOD AS WE ALL HOPED IT WOULD BE???
-
I'm flipping some records on eBay right now.
What happened was I spent a day going record shopping on Saturday. On Sunday, I spilled water over my wife's laptop, and now need to buy her a new computer. So I decided to list the new records I bought (not too attached to them). But I want letting go of these to be worth it. The starting bid is half their actual value.. but I paid much less. So everyone wins. Except the computer. But she gets a new one.
Do you have homeowners or renter's insurance? That might cover the spill minus your deductible...

There's a musician from NOLA called Louis Villery who was involved with a few bands. He formed this group called African Music Machine and laid down one of the funkiest NOLA tracks I've ever heard. And I found this clean 45 for super cheap:
I picked up their record "Black Water Gold" at a record store in Boston based solely on the cover. SUCH a good record.

Have you guys seen Light In The Attic's Native North America box set? That's a 3 LP with full sized booklet box set, amazing quality and only $45. Mondo could have certainly priced this cheaper...
-
you could just search record stores in his local area of the location he has posted and then call them all...

I'm considering spending a lot pretty soon on the first three Mumford and Sons 10" eps...

New Spirit Family Reunion album is INCREDIBLE
on first listen, the new Deslondes album isn't bad either.

Record stores/online retailers get the black variety of the Hannibal soundtrack.
thanks!
-
Is the only version of Hannibal the steak tartare one? My local record store just got this in and I'll pick it up if that's the case!
-
If anyone got an extra copy of the vinyl, please let me know!
-
I listened to this last night. I agree that it is bland. It sounds like they didn't progress or change much from their first album, and all the songs sound very similar. I'll probably give it a few more listens, but I'm glad, for now, that it wasn't released on vinyl yesterday when I went to pick it up at my local record store.

My two local record stores in Nashville got copies of this in today. The Groove and Grimey's if anyone in this thread is in Nashville and looking for this.
-
I am SO SO ready for this. The first one was an amazing album start to finish and the production was absolutely incredible. The sample track is pretty good, I'm ready to hear the whole thing.

There was a new RTJ2 press that is apparently on yellow/gold. It was up for order on the daylight curfew site this weekend, but now I can't find it. Wonder if it sold out or just got pulled?
There's an RTJ1 Repress up for pre-order on Urban Outfitters' site. It's on gold, but they're using the wrong cover photo on the page

Consider me ignorant, but where do most people buy these records?
Is there a website or store that specializes in selling them?
I'm wondering because I would have loved to grab the Coraline or Boxtrolls records for my daughter.
And I've been looking for the Guardians deluxe vinyl.
Thanks for any info!
I have a copy of Coraline on black vinyl if you're looking for one. I opened it just to check the color, haven't played it and am willing to sell it for less than cost if you want to PM me.

Wheres the LLT - DFA reissue :(
January of this year was their 10 year anniversary...........
SUCH a phenomenal and underrated album

Would love to get the MAD MAX OST but $57.30 is just too expensive...
Good thing they aren't shipping outside the US...

I had Chung King #65. I bought it for $1400 i forget when. I sold it about 5 years later for $3500, in 2009. I should have held out a few more years. Pretty sure a CT dude bought one recently for about $6500

Anyone have a copy of the Mumford & Sons 7" or know where I can get one?
-
The Elvis 10" is 78 RPM isn't it?
-
I dunno how i feel about feathers inside my records, what if the little "hairs" poke through the vinyl? Talk about surface noise...
Third Man has had fake flower petals pressed into records on a Karen Elson release. It looks great and there is no issues with sound quality...

I inherited a coin collection. The only one I've had professionally checked out (but not officially graded) is an American 1787 1 over lazy 1 Fugio coin. Depending on official grading, worth anywhere from $1,000-$5,000. I don't plan on selling it anytime soon. Apparently it was designed by Benjamin Franklin, and the reverse side of the coin says "Mind Your Business" I am REALLY stoked on owning this coin.

I have a sealed Lavender copy of Bathtub Love Killings for sale if anyone wants to make offers...
The Mondo Records Thread - You think limited? Will sell fast?
