I found some decent frames at a decent price at Bags Unlimited... however the circular cutout of the matting did not match up perfectly with size of some of the records. Got my clear version, and Year Zero 10" this morning.

All the jokes other websites make about VC loving their colored vinyl is totally true. Anyway, Oliveri and Grohl on this record, FTW.

So this leaked...first impressions: -Noticeably much less agressive than Opus -Much more synth -Hooks and melodies abound -7 1/2 minute ballad, and it RULES -Lyrics as Satanic/ridiculous as ever -3-4 songs that just killed me with boring repetitions -A lot of experimentation, new sounds- even dare I say a surf rock session or two? Overall pretty solid... its no Opus Eponymous, but its only getting better with multiple listens.

Curious as to what the b side will be... the description states "YEAR ZERO/ Orez Raey" (Year Zero backwards)... Wouldn't surprise me if these guys threw something totally outside of the box on the flip side...

Called around a few other Chicagoland area HT's this afternoon (Fox Valley, Woodfield, Springhill, Yorktown), still none have received them, one chick told me next week.

This price is not bad, considering: x2lp matte uv spot cover gatefold D side etching All those nice extra touches cost money to produce. Well worth the money IMO
