i took pics in case anyone was still curious and hasn't seen anything yet.

my friend went, got there late. everything good was gone. he did grab an oh calcutta lp for $5. fat mike was walking around drinking pbr. that's all i have to report.

with people thinking they got this, to later find out they didn't... it's gonna be a hard one to get on the secondary market. it didn't help that they released a box set that any label would mark up to at least $300 for $130. hell, the digital tracks on itunes would cost $200.

totally. i feel like the price contributed a lot to amount of orders that were placed. at least in my mind, a $250 or so box set would've dropped those who scraped together the $130 ($170) to get one and the flippers who are going to or have made 2 or 3 times that much, solely off the fact that it would be expensive. but it was so damn cheap (relatively... it was $35 for a 2xlp III/IV). incredible deal, but still... you've got to imagine that that had an effect.

the backlash from those who got their orders cancelled is amazing. just, absolutely incredible. someone filed a complaint with the BBB against kung fu, some people wanting them to do pre-orders and then send the order to the pressing plant, lots of people holding it against ryan personally, etc. etc. someone send them the TOYPAJ MTS thread. please.

kung fu could've done some things differently, but at the end of the day, it is what it is.

my girlfriend was able to grab one for us, i was out driving for work at the time. she checked out with her credit card but hasn't received a kung fu confirmation email. people who checked out with their CC (and/or received a confirmation), was your card charged immediately? the order shows up as "open" on the kung fu site, which i'm assuming means it's fine. i haven't been able to ask her to look at her CC statement, yet.

and this whole pending list is BS. i'm not totally sure why ryan adams preorders are always nightmares.
