It doesn't spin at a stable speed. There is slight variations in speed and it is making the music sound like crap.

I got a Technics SL-220 off craigslist last week and it was missing a belt so I took the platter to an audio store and they fit a belt for it. When I got it home and tried it out the pitch was unstable in both 33rpm and 45rpm. The turntable has pitch controls but I can't get it stable. Does it sound like the belt is the problem or is it the turntable? Thanks, -Nick

My fiancé and I are going down to Orlando to see the Used at the house of blues tonight. She doesn't get out of class until 5 and the show starts at 7:30 so we have to haul ass and hope for no traffic. We are in Gainesville, about 2 hours from the show. I am hoping to score some new vinyl at the show. I already have their new one but hopefully they might have a tour vinyl or some 7". The show has been sold out for a few days so it should be really fun. We have been fans for years and saw them for the first time during the Taste of Chaos tour. Any other Used fans here? -Nick
