  1. You can get the boxset without the t-shirt for $50. Shipping would be cheaper too. http://merchnow.com/products/167686/6-lp-box-set Rise Records just upsold on everyone putting the link up with the t-shirt.
  2. Thank you PayPal for Bill Me Later!!!!! I was the one with the initial concerns regarding Deathstar having to go on 2 LP's due to People You Know being such a long track. On the track list, it's showing as "People You Know (LP Edit)" so it looks like they cut the extra 5 minutes at the end on the track to make it fit on one LP.
  3. Instrumental demo version of "The Robot With Human Hair Pt. 4". Features only Will Swan on guitar, Matt Mingus on drums, and Tim Feerick on bass. http://soundcloud.com/ctorresc/dgdrobot4demo
  4. To keep me from completely letting go of my entire collection, I'm in the process of compiling a list of all time favorite artists that I care to have their discographies along with truly "essential" albums from other artists. Sublime, Incubus, Minus The Bear, and Dance Gavin Dance are my four elite musical inspirations that go above everyone else. Each band's entire catalog of albums is truly sacred to me. After that, other bands release one "memorable" album or a few great records, but I don't love them to where I must own every record they made, let alone even own an album of theirs. This is where it is going to get tricky for me.
  5. With the test pressings already done, I don't think it will take that long. Is anyone familiar with Rainbo Records? They're the ones that are cutting it and pressing it. Do they have a good reputation? I just would like someone to explain to me how the sound is enhanced in any way being pressed on vinyl if they're likely using only the cd masters. Will the albums sound fuller than on cd even though they may be using the exact same masters?
  6. More responses... https://twitter.com/kcrummett/status/374675615175036928 https://twitter.com/kcrummett/status/374676918999609344
  7. Now I am concerned. Per Kris Crummett, he doesn't think any vinyl mastering was done for the boxset. https://twitter.com/kcrummett/status/374670098306326528
  8. Not for DGD. You can never be too old for their level of instrumentation.
  9. Thanks guys! Feeling really overwhelmed with the responses considering this is my first experience. Working on responding to everyone at the moment.
  10. It may take me a while to list the variants for every record on the list, but I'll work on it. In the meantime if there is a specific album you would like to know what variant I have for it, let me know.
  11. It is with very much sorrow that I've decided to start parting with a good portion of my collection due to dire financial straits and also feeling like I can no longer afford to continue to collect vinyl. This is also my first experience looking to sell any vinyl so all help with the ins and outs is greatly appreciated. Feel free to send me any questions, requests for information and pictures of any of the albums on my list. [email protected] https://www.facebook.com/ctorres04 September 22nd, 2013 update: Holding off on selling until taking time to make sure I'm ready to let go any albums, and also figuring out a better process to selling them. 12. Do you have a spotify? Here is a 13 song DGD sampler playlist with all the hits: http://open.spotify.com/user/124579613/playlist/0ml8Gr16zSWPN4ZF2q7uJr I picked the 3 most popular songs off each album according to Spotify. For Royal Ocean, I only picked the most popular song. Some of my personal favorites are missing, but I tried to make it purely unbiased.
  13. I wish more DGD fans had your same attitude. I feel the same way. Every record they've put out has its own distinct identity. They've never made the same album twice. I enjoy supporting these guys. They're not afraid to splice genres together, and on a personal level, they are really cool humble dudes in their mid 20's just passionate about music. 6 records in 8 years, that's a hell of a run.
  14. I have Isles & Glaciers on vinyl that I may be willing to sell.
  15. 1. Royal Ocean 2. DBM1 3. Death Star 4. Happiness 5. DBM2 6. New Album That's 6 LP's You can count on the new album still being heavier than Happiness, especially with Jon Mess on it.
  16. Also, here's the framework for the artwork to the new DGD album.
  17. This is the only info we have thus far. Probably the smart thing for business in my view would be to release the box set first then wait a couple of months before releasing stand alone LPs. It would give added incentive for people to buy the box set rather than wait to purchase the LPs separately.
  18. A few concerns: - Death Star is the only album that has to go on 2 seperate LP's due to its time length of 52 minutes and 20 seconds. All other DGD releases are under 44 minutes and fit perfectly onto a single LP. - Rise Records makes the announcement now, but it's likely that they haven't started any groundwork on mastering these albums for vinyl. Kris Crummett is more than capable of doing so, and would be the best choice considering he produced, engineered, mixed, and mastered DBM1, Death Star, Happiness, and DBM2. He also mastered Royal Ocean when it was re-released by Rise when DGD signed on to the label. However, if the plan is for the new DGD album to come out in the Fall, I don't know how Crummett (or anyone for that matter) would be able to master all 5 releases in time.

  20. You may have just saved local music scenes everywhere with this company. I'm hyping you up on my facebook at the moment. This may even motivate me to start a small label and press some of my friend's bands with you. Best of luck with this!
  21. Glad I found this thread. Had found some nifty speakers with RCA cables to hook into my receiver thinking the receiver was the power source. I thought I was all set. Had the volume on the receiver maxed out and the music was barely audible. Now I'm looking for an amp to power the speakers up.
  22. Evolution Records in Lakeland, FL ordered 5 copies of At The Drive In's "Relationship of Command" and they weren't sent any. I wonder what goes into it as to why they couldn't be sent any copies at all. They put in their RSD order early.
  23. It's my new favorite Paramore song. So many layers.
