  1. Here's to hoping the Aenima yellow pops up again soon for a decent price...
  2. I knew i should have bought tix before going up there to find it sold out. Still waiting to see Lucero play, and i was bummed about missing Black Joe Lewis too. That's great news though. Hopefully they'll be back in H-town soon when the new album comes out.
  3. thanks for the replies/links.
  4. i wonder what brassland meant - they have 4 studio full-lengths and the 10" cherry tree ep total. i guess they're pressing the s/t, sad songs, and cherry tree vinyl again?
  5. yea i haven't seen one of these in a while. if i come across one i'll be sure to let you know. amazing album.
  6. hit me up if you have any of their vinyl (full-length) to sell. Lost Souls is the one i'm after the most, but i have none of theirs currently so any would be a good start. thx
  7. their studio albums have been going downhill for a while now imo, but i will always respect them and never think about calling them lame like so many fickle fans/hipsters do now. that is unless Ed or the band pulls some crazy shit like Cornell did.
  8. knowing what a lot of their stuff (vinyl) goes for once it's gone and with all the other shit included, $140 seems like a steal. really interested to hear what O'Brien did with the mixes as well as hearing that live show. i'll be a very happy man if they get around to reissuing Yield and Binaural. the latter is like a whole other experience on vinyl.
  9. yea both she and Josh Homme guest starred last season on there. i felt the same way.

  21. Hello everyone, wall here. Just sayin hello/'introducing' myself to everyone, including other fellow Houstonians. As far as vinyl shopping around here, I'm inside 610 so i usually hit up Sound Exchange and Cactus Music. Soundwaves on Montrose has a few things from time to time, but it's not worth the time if I'm not looking for a CD. The new Cactus store is a big improvement over the old location IMO. They got a pretty good CD and DVD selection, and carry a reasonable amount of newer vinyl. Been to Vinal Edge once or twice, which was atleast a year ago, and I gotta check out the other one on 1960. Houston could still could use some more vinyl shops obviously. Having to order so much online is a pain in the ass. Far as clubs go, I've been meaning to check out The Mink. It sounds a little like the Proletariat. And while it's an ok place to see a band, they have some decent beer specials. I got to see Adam Franklin and Sparklehorse there, so that was nice. Went to the Meat Puppets/Built to Spill show at Warehouse last night, which was excellent. Seeing the former for the first time made it worth my Monday night easily. I don't know what's up with Engine Room (other than it sux), and I still catch some shows at Numbers when they get some good acts. I'll go to Verizon when I have to (MMJ/Yo La Tengo next week), but it has zero personality to it. I wonder why. Anyway, just wanted to ramble a bit. Looking forward to checking in here from time to time. Later yallzz.
