  8. I was wondering if anyone was a dab hand at knocking up flyers ? I'm the slackest person in the world and have absolutely NO skills at doing just about anything but cooking . Me and a mate started putting gigs on in our little seaside town of Bridlington in east Yorkshire (UK). Http://myspace.com/eastcoastcollective My friend James does the flyers but i feel tight that he does them and i cant help him , so i was wondering if anyone would be interested in helping out ? I can send you a few bucks for your trouble . Thanks
  9. no. what else does England have? And back in the day we had this too
  10. "What came first ? the music or the misery? Did I listen to music because I was miserable? Or was I miserable because I listened to music? Do all those records turn you into a melancholy person? People worry about kids playing with guns, and teenagers watching violent videos; we are scared that some sort of culture of violence will take them over. Nobody worries about kids listening to thousands -- literally thousands -- of songs about broken hearts and rejection and pain and misery and loss. The unhappiest people I know, romantically speaking, are the ones who like pop music the most; and I don't know whether pop music has caused this unhappiness, but I do know that they've been listening to the sad songs longer than they've been living the unhappy lives..." My favorite quote, it makes some very good points !
  11. Just a side note, we would never come up against teams like T&T and the US in qualifiers, due to the fact that the qualifying groups are split up, ie. Europe, Africa, Americas etc. I'm all up for beating them once we get to the World Cup though Yeah i forgot to change qualifiers to friendlies
  12. Negative approach , Rival schools , As friends rust, Gorilla biscuits (kinda) have all recently 'reformed' and decided to play over here more than back in the states and me and mates think this is obviously because of how much more the pound and euro are worth against the dollar (£1= $1.98 right now). I would like to think its just good luck for us , but I am English and I know we don't get lucky except for in wars (warfare is what we do best) and I really do believe that 'they don't care for our scene, they care because our moneys green' ! sorry this is an alcohol fueled post, thank god fire fox has a dictionary !
  13. Sheffield Wednesday !! there in the English Championship 1 league down from the premiership , but we will be back ! I had Holland in a competition at work, thought i had it stitched up when they beat Italy and France so comfortably
  14. Thanks for all the buy's and feedback , this is selling much faster and better than i could of ever dreamed !
  15. For £40 he could get a 3 mobile skype phone , skype for free .
  16. Kiss of death records should have a few copies of each soon
  17. I had this thought a couple of years ago when boysetsfire release 'tomorrow comes today' on wind up , I was and still am a HUGE fan of their earlier releases , the day the sun went out , this crying this screaming my voice is being born , in chrysalis, etc were all fantastic, they sounded rough around the edges and raw, then TCT came out and they had more or less 100% lost the shityness that made them sound so good, then they did that last album that i wont even name , Jesus fucking Christ talk about shitty. One thing i have always found funny is that on the CD of 'the day the sun went out' there is a huge rant about supporting local music and independent labels and a few years they singed to a major , I asked Matt when i interviewed them around the time TCT came out and he sounded like he was defending it to himself with the huge rant he said that I cant remember ! The most worrying thing i took from the interview was when he said this is how they had always wanted to sound ...........but i suppose you wouldn't slag off you're own record lol In my humble opinion , any band that tours relentlessly and releases at least 3 solid albums is "allowed" to 'sell out' or finally make a living from it. surely that's one of the reasons people start a band ? to travel, make friends, have good times and make money.
  18. After Listening to Analphabetapolothology in its entirety whilst doing an all niter , I can to the conclusion that this Is good shit . Is their vinyl Expensive ?
