  2. nice, i guess its real and really out of stock i regret ordering. what number did you get? and is it out of 1000 still?
  3. and now its out of stock haha "Sorry, this item is currently out of stock." http://www.kt8merch.com/store/pages/17200/__________________PRE-SALE_-_Last_Gang_Records_Presents%3A_LIMITED_EDITION_Metric_-_Old_World_Underground%2C_Where_Are_You_Now_-_Vinyl.htm
  4. E-mail from their customer service: "There has been a manufacturing delay with the Metric vinyl. We expect to have to have them shipped this week."
  5. Hey alls, Lookin' for WAS - With love and squalor vinyl. Anyone willing to sell or know of any ancient sites still selling this beauty?
  6. okay first of all, read what i wrote. i specifically quoted a particular part about you which i called poor logic. it was the part where you had said that people are dumb for refusing to buy records from one distrib. because of one bad transaction. i didnt quote your entire first "rant" because i had no issues with it except for the one part. please re-read what i wrote because it's not worth explaining if you couldnt get it at first. (not that it matters, this is the internet) secondly, i think we can narrow the issue down to the first USPS where asbestos dropped off the records as the origin of damaging records. i cant say this for sure, its only speculation. but i know my local USPS has never delivered a fucked up record as this one. also, the damaged records werent contained into one area, people from all areas received damaged records. had the damaged records been in southern california only, then yes it's worth it to voice to USPS. but telling my local USPS who has delivered nothing but good service to me that they delivered 1 piece of destroyed goods is beyond retarded. so take your white knight "tell your USPS" concern elsewhere. on extra packing materials. are you 14 years old and new to this? the point that we're arguing is that asbestos put 0 extra packaging materials at all. if there was some packaging materials, we couldnt blame asbestos but the fact that there was 0 shows how much little thought and care was put into it. the packing materials is meant to keep the contents from possibly bending/breaking. so YES i can agree that the extra bubble wrap and cardboard has a HUGE role in preventing shipping damage to vinyl. next time you order a vinyl, open the box and tell me that theres not cardboard or other packaging materials. so you believe the majority of these halfpipe record's damage was done by the sun? ill admit the sun can damage records but it would not warp these records to the extremes that people have received them. it was all shipping damage which could possibly have been avoided by putting in extra packing materials.
  7. everyone needs to stop kissing flood's ass, seriously. im sure flood is an awesome person and they are well known and respected on this forum, but if asbestos records was run by some unknown nobody that didnt frequent the boards, people would NOT have the same respect that they are giving flood. if you look carefully at the majority of the "damaged sum41" posts, you'll see people are NOT hating/angry at flood/asbestos, they're just disappointed that their copies (like mine) arrived like complete shit. AGAIN, i must stress the "majority" of damaged sum 41 posts, not ALL. this is poor logic because asbestos and SRC are the only ones offering sum41 for sale meaning if they fuck up on orders, who do we turn to then?? and stop putting 100000000% of the blame on USPS, asbestos messed up too by not packing their initial shipment of records well. there's packing supplies like cardboard and bubblewrap for a reason. since asbestos was the only one shipping sum 41, they should have KNOWN to put more care into packing their limited run of the sum 41 records. if asbestos is on a tight budget, CHARGE MORE for shipping or raise the price of the vinyl itself. THAT way you have less warped vinyl, less unsatisfied customers. i bet asbestos is losing more money sending out replacement vinyl than if they had just packed records well in the first place.
  8. hey buddy, we can understand it's not asbestos fault and blame it on usps but poorly packaged records = higher chance of damage my frisbee41 came with no protection but the outerbox it was shipped in. the fact that we have to pay additional money to ship it back to asbestos sucks, whats the point? they cant just trust that our records are complete shit and send us a new copy? we're more than happy to provide pictures of our frisbee41's but having us ship it back is whack as hell. i ended up flattening mine using glass and sunlight and it plays okay now but the sleeve is shit still. im not down to wrap it back up, drive to postal office and pay more money when the chances of it getting fucked up again from the original usps is still there. so fuck it, im over it. but dont tell unsatisfied customers to stfu cause they have every right to be upset.
  9. this is true. ideally, people that received damaged copies are unhappy and want customer service. people that received good copies are happy and willing to defend Asbestos/flood.. you can say all this and that about "dont give them your business." well... they were the only company (before SRC) to sell the sum41 vinyl sooo does this mean that if i want a copy, im forced to pay a higher price on the secondary market just to avoid giving Asbestos my business..? ive still yet to get a reply on my email but there's nothing i can do about it. im just hoping Asbestos is backed up on emails and will eventually reply to me.
  10. just got mine today. white version looks nothing comapred to that awesome swirl though
  11. dear shop radio cast, if im dropping $50+ for a limited 3 x LP, it is kind of implied that it will be numbered editions of the "limited 1000 run" but i guess i was just naive. last year's RSD release of bleed american was numbered on the back. and they advertised it as a limited edition too..this re-press is essentially the same songs, same artwork, different colors right? a quick ebay search of the "SRC bleed american" told me that this release/repress wasn't numbered because they had the decency to include the text "Not numbered editions." why couldn't SRC do that?
  12. the only problem is they advertised it as a limited run and numbered editions but it wasnt = false advertising. if they didnt include that tidbit i wouldnt care, but they did. whats the matter with knowing you are the only one in the world that has number x/xxxx ? anyway this was just a heads up to people that have "bigger issues" that were expecting the promised "numbered editions" and to let you know it doesnt exist on this re-pressing.
  13. definitely gonna pick this up too, so many old records getting repressed is awesome, i just hope its not a 3xLP with demos that i dont care about
  14. im glad this is getting repressed, was going to bite the bullet and drop $40+ on them ebay prices
  15. new to the board, and heres my first post. wanted to grab his record last year on RSD but ran outta funds so I picked this one up from SRC cause there was a 15% off coupon anyway they say this is a limited and numbered release but there was no number at all on the vinyl or sleeves. SRC advertises "limited run of 1000." the sticker on the shrinkwrap says "limited and numbered pressing of 2000" so wtf? and yet no numbers to be found.. very disappointed
